One pice of advice for you two is not to bother with the drink package... they enforce a 15 minute break between drinks which you might find problematic lol xx

Ship looks good - the issue is when all the passengers are being unloaded after a cruise - absolute chaos. So the ships are getting bigger but the port facilities are not.

I think the crew and the port workers are to blame for poor disembarkation.It’s just lack of communication between the two. Dock workers should tell the crew not to let too many people go at once,there was no way it was deck by deck as it should have been. Nobody took control that is why overcrowding happened. If this sort of thing keeps happening there will be an accident of some kind. Just poor supervision in my eyes .

@@mrskint55 Thanks for that - in our numerous cruises we have never left deck by deck. Just been allocated areas of the ship to go to then disembark from that area.

Thank you for the video,both professional and comprehensive. My wife and I are booked into the cabin next door to yours 9015. What was the cabin like with regard to noise,and was the balcony useable. Ie was there any sunshine and was it windy? Keep up the brilliant videos thanks

Thank you for your comments, we were only onboard for one night so my experience with weather is zero, but the cabin was quiet and very comfortable. The balcony door was really heavy. Yes you will get sun and the view is amazing, to see ahead instead of the side is fantastic, the wind could be an issue as door very heavy so sea days might be a little breezy xx

We were on the maiden season cruise from 6 Jan to 22 Jan (Southampton to Bridgetown). It was fantastic ! Best holiday ever in my 62 years of life. We actually enjoyed the sea days more than the port days which speaks highly of the ship. The crew were superb and knowledgeable. I actually bought 4 new fiction books to read on the ship. But there were so many activities onboard that I ended reading none ! Yes, we shall definitely sail again with Arvia and P&O. Value-for-money. Our cabin number was 12110.

Good evening from The🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🥂 nice cruise ship. My brother looks forward to travelling with you in 2024. Afraid it’s not my cup of tea myself I’m more a queen Mary two man. If I go to do a cruise, I want a lot of luxury right this ship doesn’t do that for me, some of the restaurants looked alright I’m sure the cruise ship is lovely, but it’s not for me🥂😃

Good Evening Dave! Yes, its certainly a move away from the old school, dark wood elegance of the Cunard ships (which we love BTW) and certainly a long way from QM2. No luxury at all on the QM2, unless you’re in the grill suites, which maybe is what you had. Otherwise I don’t recall been even slightly impressed. Food was awful, cabins tired, drinks slow in coming, EVERY SINGLE OTHER THING is at an extra cost. All image and no substance. Both got Covid, everyone on the ship was ill one way or another . Never again.

A lovely ship ,but there are loads of things that need fixing.The good In my opinion wasn’t great barely warm,lack of healthy options. Noisy cabin deck 4 ,I T problem, and the disembarking was a total mess. This wasn’t the P&O I once knew . Was the cruise worth the money?No not at all . P@O need to up there game if they want happy cruisers .

Obviously the maiden voyage and TA had their issues but things seem to be settling down now from what I hear. TBF problems on disembarkation are largely the responsibility of the port and these larger ships do seem to be testing them!!

So many new huge new cruise ships they beginning to loose their charm , they are getting bigger and bigger I call them floating restaurants with a lack of personal character ..Really sad especially the fish and chips.

Yes they are very big ships, no doubt about it. we spent a week on sister ship Iona and didn't get to spend time in every venue - there is a lot of choice which is great if you want a choice but I tend to agree that a smaller ship makes for a more personal experience.

It’s not just the new ones. We’ve just returned from our first cruise. On QM2. Definitely all image and no substance. Unbelievably underwhelming.

Really not looking forward to our cruise now. I foolishly ticked upgrade box we now have a cabin right at the front on the promenade deck. My worst nightmare is the thought of having a cabin on the promenade deck. Trying to cancel . not happy at all

Oh Kurt, Big hug!! Obviously see if you can get it changed but if not I’m sure it won’t be as bad as you feared! They really are lovely cabins and you have a lot of extra space. Most passengers on the Promenade deck seem to be aware of the problem and are careful not to be intrusive. As longs as you’ve got some clothes on you’ll be fine 😂

Don't forget this was done very early in the morning with no-one around in the main. She's very similar to her sister ship Iona - so a more modern, light look than the older ships which tend to have more dark wood. overall we rather like her.
