I'm the mother of two boys. One of my sons was listening to this song as I walked past his room. I stood out the door listening because the music drew me in. Then the lyrics happened, and I was hooked. Young people really go through some hard times. It made me cry. Every since then my sons are closer to me and their father more than ever. They talk to us about everything. A close friend of mine lost their son, 6, in a car accident. A month later (today) is their other son's fourth birthday, and they had a normal celebration for him. As I left their house, and returned home, I just broke down and sobbed buckets of tears for that family's tragedy. Too much to handle losing a son.
