P&O Iona.. Madeira, Canary Isles, Spain, Portugal...VLOG 7 Cadiz, Jerez,

After leaving the Canary Islands we set sail for Spain.We enjoyed a relaxing day on board, as we had a sea day before we reached our port of Cadiz.
We had a pre booked tour to the city of Jerez with P&O.This was a half day tour that took you to the city and left you to your own devices to go where you wanted . We were first taken to the tourist information office and provided with maps .
Jerez is a lovely city with beautiful architecture and lots of fountains, but a lack of public toilets.We couldn't find any and had to resort to using one in one of the cafes.
After meeting our coach at the designated spot we returned to the ship. Straight up to the Sunset bar for a drink and a relax in the whirlpool, and then made use of our balcony for the sail away .
Our evening included a meal in the Olive grove restaurant.

The old town in Cadiz is supposed to be great place to visit , and people bypass it.... my sister went there once and told us about it...we are going in Jan 2024 on Iona

Morning A&J We went to Jerez on an excursion , it was ok but all the main places of interest were shut . Plus you couldn't find a toilet anywhere . So when we go in September we are literally going to stay in Cadiz . We have watched vlogs and the city looks quite nice . Another good thing is you walk straight off the ship and you are there ..Not Pearl:s strongest point Geography 😂 😂 Thanks as always A&J XX ❤️👋👋

Hi Kitty , every port that we visited you could walk straight off the ship no transport was needed . Madeira we were on a trip so we got straight on to a coach . Lanzarote was approximately 20 minute walk to the main part of town. Lisbon was great you are docked right opposite the city . Hope you have a fantastic time and thank you very much for watching. Afternoon Susan , ooh that’s a hard one , we have only cruised with three companies. Royal Caribbean, Princess, and P&O . For food and service I would say Sky Princess. For value I would say P&O . Sky Princess is a great ship although it can be hard to get a seat around the atrium in the evening. With the P&O Iona and Arvia the atrium is much bigger with great views of the sea because of the massive windows all the way around. So it is very hard to say , maybe a combination of the two .A bit of Princess sprinkled with a few touches of Iona and Arvia . Sorry it’s not more definite.👋
