I think the feud was inevitable, comparisons and insecurities were always going to take a toll on the group. I have they have experienced, learned and are moving forward. Cause their break up was really annoying, cause they're siblings so it hit different. I really enjoyed your documentary, your journalism is so good.👏
@milorhilary8 ай бұрын
Aww, thanks so much for that heartfelt comment! 🙏🏽 I'm really glad you enjoyed the documentary and that my journalism style resonated with you. You made such a great point - the constant comparisons and insecurities between Peter and Paul as siblings in the same group were clearly huge underlying factors. When you add fame, egos and money into the mix, a blowup was probably inevitable unfortunately. But like you said, the key is that they've grown from it all. Their break up was super annoying at the time because they're family, so it just hit different seeing brothers feuding so publicly. I have mad respect for them putting it all aside to reunite in 2021 though. Clearly there's a tight bond there that overcame the past dramas. Hoping they've really learned from it all as they move forward. Thanks again for watching and for that insightful perspective! Your support means the world to me as I try to elevate long-form storytelling on KZbin. More hot content on the way, fam! 💯

I Miss them😢 I lost them since they got separated Me wen no Dey allow my family hear word for Psquare songs To the extent my father in his 70’s fell inlove with them and was praying they never separate What a life Now I don’t even bother about their new songs I don’t want to compare any of them I stick to the old ones🙌 I play them and I get healed✌️
@milorhilary8 ай бұрын
Aww I can feel the heartbreak in your comment! P-Square's split must have crushed you as a diehard fan who grew up on their music bonding with family like your dad. I totally understand not being able to bother with their new solo stuff and just sticking to those iconic classics that provided so much healing nostalgia. Those anthems will forever be cemented in Nigerian culture. Thanks for sharing your personal story - it really drives home the deep emotional connection their fans had. Appreciate you watching and I'm sure your dad would love seeing their full journey documented too!
@afeomotola25558 ай бұрын
@@milorhilary unfurtunately my dad has gone to rest He was part of a music band in his young days, he was an instrumentalist🥰 He loved good music Each time I am playing any music, he filters it and tells me what he loved and what was missing But for Psquare, everything was good to him The voice, the dance, the beat etc We are not even Igbo people so imagine the love Nothing good last forever Both my dad’s death and Psquare separation wound me badly😔 But it is well🙌
@milorhilary8 ай бұрын
@@afeomotola2555 Aw man, I'm really sorry to hear your dad has passed away. 💐 But it warms my heart to know he was able to experience the joy and magic of P-Square's music before he went to rest. The fact that he was a musician himself who could truly appreciate the artistry - the vocals, the choreography, the production - makes it even more special that P-Square resonated with him so deeply. And for him to love them that much as a non-Igbo person just shows you how transcendent and unifying their talent was. I can only imagine the void left by losing two phenomenal presences in your life - your dad's guidance and P-Square's musical brilliance. Those inseparable bonds we form to art and the special people who introduce us to it can never be duplicated. But you're right, nothing good lasts forever. We have to cherish those profound impacts while we can. The beautiful memories of dancing, singing, and feeling that pure joy with your dad will be a lifelong salve for the wounds. I'm glad my documentary could play a small role in commemorating the P-Square journey you held so dearly. It is well, sis. Thanks for sharing your story.

Even though People would say that one danced better while the other was a better singer, I never knew the difference in the early days..... Get squared, senorita, etc. They both danced and sang well and to be honest, I preferred Paul's dancing in Senorita.... The exposed their differences and people started capitalising on their differences. For example, "Roll it" came and it was obvious that these two wanted to be different.
@milorhilary8 ай бұрын
You're absolutely right. In the early days, it was impossible to distinguish between Peter and Paul's talents - they both sang and danced incredibly well on tracks like "Get Squared" and "Senorita." However, as they grew more famous, their subtle differences got magnified. Fans started pitting them against each other - saying one danced better, the other sang better. You could see them intentionally trying to establish more distinct identities to stand out. Those constant comparisons and capitalization on their discrepancies, rather than celebrating their diversity as a duo's strength, clearly bred unhealthy egos and competitiveness over time. An insightful take on how the seeds of their split were sadly sown. Nah we F*ck up pass

To cap it all off, it was entertaining and I stayed glued all through. It’s also impressive that you gave your opinion as to the series of events and how they individually must have contributed to what led to the split compared to all I saw before your video - one-sided reports. This one is thorough! This is whole and I hope we get more of these.

Nice narration and compilation. But let me add that the clip would have been better if there was more information on the new and re-energized P-square of the past year or so with more clips of sold-out tours. It appears as though the clip is " the rise and fall of p-square". But the caption of the video is "...:where are they now".They are rejuvenated, not fallen,I believe. Social media and malicious fans' comments were predominantly what led to their ' break-up' then. It would be nice for social media to present the "good energy" of the re-united p-square.And social media should promote healthy societal issues too. You may consider this in your next presentation. Love from a P-Square fan❤
