P.U.N.K. ZOMBIE WORLD DECK PROFILE (SEPTEMBER 2023) YUGIOH!

I just made an interesting Zombie World deck on Master Duel. It doesn't have some of the really good monsters or extra deck cards because on Master Duel they are UR's and I'm not wasting the crafting points on them. I've used this deck before but have come back to it and made some changes, although, the main gimmick has not... It's a 60 card deck that wants to make use of Reasoning and That Grass Looks Greener. It combines most of the good stuff from the structure deck as well as some of the Shiranui cards you get from the structure deck by doing solo mode. I did have to craft 3 Shiranui Squire for that engine to function but it's only a rare. That engine in particular is 3 Squire, 1 Spectralsword, and 1 Spectralsword Shade. Some cards I feel like add a bit of consistency to this 60 card pile are The Tricky, an extra Jack-o-Bolan, and Ghost Lancer, The Underworld Spearman. Tricky and Jack are nice to have if I get one of them along with Banshee so I can get it to the grave and don't have to waste my normal summon on it in order to get Zombie World set up. Ghost Lancer is just a zombie version of Cyber Dragon with some other effects like piercing battle damage, but it's just a free summon if it's in my opening hand. Now comes the main reason(s) for wanting to play this deck... Marionette Mite and Zombie Necronize. They are snatch steal effects until the end of the turn. Marionette Mite can be discarded to steal an opponents fiend or zombie. There's 2 other cards that have this same effect but for warrior/spellcaster and machine/dragon, but those aren't as easy as to use when you don't know what decks you'll be facing. Zombie Necronize is in the zombie structure deck and requires there to be a level 5 zombie on the field for you to steal a monster your opponent controls, which pairs nicely with Ghost Lancer, Jack-o-Bolan, and if Zombie World is on the field, The Tricky. I don't know why, but recently I've been wanting to play a deck that basically does nothing but steal your opponents stuff. The main issue I run into with this deck is not being able to get Zombie World on the field consistently enough without sacrificing an extra body on the end board. I can either go into a couple of Synchro's and maybe have Mazera for protection and then get Zombie World on my next turn or if I have to waste my normal summon or one of my foolish burial effects to dump Banshee. Although, I did just shell out some SR crafting points for Demise of the Land so I can possibly get it on the field once my opponent special's something and hope it sticks. I would use Metaverse as well but it's a UR and I'm not spending any of those on a card for a deck I'll most likely stop playing in a week. I'm also saving my crafting points for when they put a Runick secret pack in Master Duel cuz I really wanna play a Super Poly Nuturia Runick deck. I know I could make an extra steam account and make it on there, but I want it on my main account so I have a deck that I can hopefully use in most events to get me those gems a lot easier. Ok, thesis complete. lol

Shirunai Solitaire is something I use in my zombie deck, its essentially another copy of Uni-Zombie, as Solitaire can tribute a zombie (usually itself) to summon a zombie tuner with 0 defense from your deck to the field, aka Uni-Zombie.

Considering how we've been getting og characters with massive deck retrains like rex and weevil, I'd love to see a Bonz retrain with pumpking maybe becoming PumpLord the Lord of Ghosts? Make castle of illusions a field spell, mammoth of goldfine retrain along with dragon zombie and snake hair retrains.

Castle of dark illusions isn't even used by bonz in the anime iirc so a call of the haunted retrain would be preferred. It would probably summon monsters from your Deck depending on the monsters in your GY.

@@theimpostorafungus1213 That's true, however since castle of dark illusions and pumpking are actively tied together in their irl card texts it'd be dumb not to have it be remade/ referenced somewhere

its rogue at best but very good if used properly

It's very bricky and not competitive at all. A single disruption. Ash or imperm and your combo is over. However It's a very fun deck to play.
