Thank you for showing me the way to easily access this sensor and replace it. I have learned something that may come in handy. Apparently even after replacing the O2 sensor you may get a P0138 error months later. So I found a YT video by a member named Voltage Drop Diagnostics and the video is simply named “06 Rav4 P0138”. He knows what he is talking about, watch it. To simplify the DIY stuff, the part number is 234-9041 also by Denso on Amazon and costs around $50. Note: If you do not have an Oxygen Sensor Socket Wrench Removal Tool and Thread Chaser Set, it is worth the $20 because if you are going to DIY this, it is a tight sensor to get to that you can’t even see so get it to save yourself the aggravation and time messing with it. I get no kickbacks by recommending any of these items, I have learned to get the right tools or just pay the insane $$ to have it replaced. Hopefully the O2 will be all you need but you know how it goes…….

The P0606 code is for ECM/PCM Processor. I just purchased a new O2 sensor hope it clears the P0606 code & P0138. Auto mechanic said P0606 ecm is bad new O2 sensor will no fix the problem. Thank you for the video. I hope mechanic is wrong.

In my case, it cleared the code and for last two years, vehicle runs absolutely smooth. Wishing you the best. Make sure to disconnect battery and such before working on it.

You should be careful not to touch the sensor with your fingers or get any ant-seize compound on it. It can cause the sensor not to work. It is very sensitive to oils and other substances.
