I been struggling with this problem. But my question is what part is rpm output connected to under the truck? I have a 2017 nissan titian if you want that info. The truck wouldn't shift gears. I towed it to the dealership but they mess over me changing the starter and battery. So the engine light didn't come back on till i drove it from the dealership. I paid 1700 for that so i am not bringing it back to them

I’m thinking this is my problem too on my civic because my code is p0720 output shaft speed sensor circuit I think I’ll need to replace connector and some wires to fix my issue but I’m hopeful it will work :) thanks for a great video

Pls help me. !!! I have a Fiat Punto 2011 dualogic.I have p0720 fault code at "only and always" 130 km/h speed. When the car is under 120 km/h code (warning) is disappearing.i changed the oss 2 times and complete gearbox, transmission fluid. Still same problem. :(What do u think? Where should i look to fix it? Why always at 130 km/h ?? Do u think that it's about bad connector?

Is that the same for a dodge challenger?

Excellent! Have a similar problem...., Grand Caravan. Replaced the transmission about a year and a half ago with a chrysler rebuild. Has about 40k on it now. About three months ago It would slip between 1st and 2d and throw a p720. Disconnected the connector to check for possible corrosion (power washed the engine bay a month before problem occurred) , no corrosion, but the problem disappeared. Fast forward two months and now the same problem is back with the 720. Think it's a connection issue because of the intermittent nature. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet check the connections again, replace the sensors and hope for the best. Not much info on here as to how to check sensor integrity. Thanks for the reply.

Say I have just got a 2003 dodge dakota. 4.7 I can not get out of second, limp mode what's wrong with it besides it being A dam dodge

Haha they arn't that bad man. First rule never use aftermarket sensors that should take care of many issues. To answer your question without doing some research I'd say to look at your output speed sensors, you should have 2 and 1 on the rear differential total of 3. My second guess would be the Govenor Pressure Soleniod (notorious to these transmissions) which you can buy the kit from cascade transmission parts. The kit has other stuff in it but I only changed the two sensors on my Dak. Good thing you can easily do all 4 things above on your own.

Wow. Fixed that knotty problem with just paying attention to the connector. Manufacturers should be hung.
