One of the better critiques of Darwin’s evolution. If you are correct and our congnitive abilities are solely for us to survive then searching for the truth and understanding the world around us which takes rationality helps us survive I’ll explain. Understand germ and how they affect us has allowed us to make medicines which allowed us to survive . Understanding such complexity takes a degree of rationality I would say . Physics mixed with mathematics has allowed to develop homes and shelters to better help us survive and understands physics and mathematics takes a degree of rationality. My comments are open to opinions otherwise I’d like to hear what people think of my answer to his question I may of misquoted the question bare in mind I was just paraphrasing.

Interestingly, it took him only another minute more to spout another ridiculous fallacy. He claims evolutionary biologists say "We can explain everything". I'd love to have a source quote on that one. Biologist would admit they know relatively little about HOW it happened. They do claim that the evidence is fairly solid THAT it happened.

Thanks for the post. I read it all. To be honest, at first i was disappointed to see this from an islamic source. But, in fairness, it was a very good read. What I cant work out is what you think it is evidence of. To me, it was evidence the many muslim philosophers hypothesized some kind of evolutionary version of creation well before Darwin. If that contradicts something I said, I would be interested to know what you think that is. My real reaction after reading the article was wondering why so many muslims have a problem with evolution when SOO many muslim philosophers found this a reasonable explanation shortly after the time of the prophet.

well.. i read the article...clearly it didnt make any scientific claims as far as i remember. It said a lot about arabic men hypothesising evolutionary ideas hundreds of years ago To me, it seems clear that men had these ideas previous to darwin. That all being said, I dont know what the poster of the article was suggesting as he never replied to me.
