I've been wearing the GVS Elipse since March of 2020 for Covid 19 exposure. I wear it at any public place. I'm on my 4 set of filters (way cheaper than N95). While I have not gotten boosters (bad reaction to first 2 injections of Pfizer), I have remained infection free. While I have tried the latest N95 masks, they don't fit very well and leak air around the face. The P100 respirators do not. I suppose I will be using an Elipse for years to come (Covid19 is not going away). I am considering getting a throat microphone so that I can be heard with clarity.

Hey Paul, I am thinking of getting this mask as well. Do you have the one with source control or with the exhalation valve? If you have source control does it build up condensation in the mask? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was comparing between regular one (SPR451 / SPR457) with this "Source Control (no exhalation valve)" model you are showing. I see lot of bad reviews about condensation for this "Source Control" one on Amazon. How long have you been using regularly? Didn't you have any such issues? Do you still recommend it? I would definitely recommend using a microphone, if you would be giving lectures in front of a large class, since elastomeric respirators without exhalation valves can be harder to breathe.

Since the MSA has no exhalation valve doesn't the moisture in your breath go straight into the filter reducing the efficacy over time?

Baobao. I would recommend getting a portable air purifier (ultra portable one like the one made by Smart Air that is selling for 40 usd)!

What does that do? Does it just stand alone so you are purifying the air around your head (as an example), or does it attach to these masks?

My perception from the video was that the GVS respirator had louder audio than the MSA. Did this appear to be true in person also? Also was there much of a difference between breathability?

I do think GVS sounds louder. I find the breathability to be better in the GVS because there is a greater surface for you to breath through.

Hello. What size do you wear? Of the GVS? I'm trying to buy online but not sure what size to get. Actually if you could please lmk your size on the other one too please I would appreciate it. I have a smallish face but no idea what size to get

i don't think it's a problem for you when looking at the video footage but the manual says to use the straps under the temple/arm of the glasses. that might also help some people who have problems with pressure on the temples like with headphones. i just got my gvs and am a bit worried about moving my chin/the mask when talking since the mask sits on the chin instead of under. i had some problems with the aura regarding that as well (and had to add a third band). do you have anything to share about that?

Just for a point of reference, what size mask did you get for the MSA 900? I believe they come in small/medium/large

I got the small. Yes, they come in the 3 sizes: small, medium, and large.
