It is the inboard flight computer where all waypoints of the route are set aswell as vertical profiles and constraints and takeoff and landing performance data. This data is then interpreted and followed accurately by the auto pilot.

Once you fly any 737 are all heavies basically the same process???

Not really, no. If you can fly the PMDG 737 then it won't take you too long to learn the 777 and the 747 as the FMC's are very similar. That being said, the aircraft are all very different to one another in their own unique ways. For example the 777 is very automated and for normal operation the fuel pumps are easy to handle on the overhead panel. The 747 on the other hand is a bit more complicated when it comes to the fuel pumps on the overhead as it depends on whether you have more fuel in the main 2 & 3 tanks than 1 & 4 etc etc etc. So yeah tldr, if you can fly the 737 then you are on a good path to learning the 747 and 777, but there is still plenty of reading of manuals to do for each aircraft you wish to learn to an in depth level! :)

@Chewwy94, Go to your P3D folder\ORBX\User Documents\Versions. Delete FTX_OLC_NA.TXT and FTX_OLC_NA1.TXT. Then open up FTX Central. It will appear that OpenLC NA is not installed. Click to install, and it will only download and replace any missing or corrupted files. After it is done installing run a force migration, and it should be fixed.
