P4P EM 2008 Open single Dirk Wahl vs Collignon full length

Dirk used literally the only tactic that gave him a chance to win this match. Playing a slow and methodical game vs Collignon is pointless as he is a great defender so trying to catch him on the wrong foot is the best approach. Comments here saying that Dirks play is without skill and that 'anyone can do that' are honestly laughable. He executed many precise shots with no setup and really fast, so some pub player calling it random or bad is ridiculous.

One of the few games on KZbin where I've seen Collignon so tense.

I am sure, even if fred would have lost the game, he wouldnt have cried: oh this dirk played so disrespectful. Dirk played technically clean, no fouls and no rude behavier. And all that in double speed. They both had obviously fun and no disrespect from anyone. Fred really had to fight the whole 35 mins. A real classic in my eyes.

Amazing match. Collignon looked like he was sleepwalking through that first game, and suddenly woke up during the second game only to narrowly lose and go down 0-2. Rarely see him let an opponent score such a high percentage on him. Very nice quick shot game by Wahl, but you could see in the last two games Collignon started to block a higher percentage of those quick shots allowing him to complete the comeback.

Why is on 23:40 after Wahl did a shot, the ball placed on Wahl's 2 rod? Should'nt have the ball be given to Collignon? And on 31:40 vice-versa?

I met one player in asia cup 2015, she/he is from india, she play like dirk whal, and i hate it, it doesnt prove your skill. But at least i won.

Dirk Wahl is a reeeaaaaally bad player, I never seen a pro play such non-sense game like this, he shots anywhere without thinking... shame on him.

That is not true. A player making fred fight so hard, can t be that bad. He d be gone in 5 min if he hadnt played full risk and speed...

​@@zorkjuric6277 Speed is great, love Spredeman gameplay but that is not a fast pace game, just a random one from 1 side of the table. I don't see how you can be proud of winning like that. If he just trained a bit to actually be able to pass decently he could have played a great game, his shots aren't bad either, he just doesn't seem to want to aim. You can't live of foosball anyway why try winning at any cost ?

@@TenTailedDaemon This is not a tornado table as you see and its not in USA. No one plays the speed and style like spredeman on that table. Can't you respect different styles of play. It has nothing to do with winning at any cost, as you say. Most of the players do never get the chance to play against or with the great collignon. If you get the chance, you try something, the nearly impossible. I can absolutely appreciate and understand dirks way to play against the greatest of all time. Fred is the ultimate greatest player for european foosers. Have you played fred ?

Jeppe Mols Anyone with a bit of practice will be able to do what's is doing, even more because it's random, he is not aiming, he is just shooting without thinking. I'm not even playing in a club and I am still better than him in terms of technique, and I also use my brain when I play, maybe you didn't noticed, but the first and the second games Dirk scores almost everytime, and then he's out of luck and just loose. He is not good at passing, or blocking, he's just good at using the chance factor. And "a bit unmannered" is a euphemism... Hopefully it's a best of five so that kind of play punishes itself. And yes I know I'am replaying to a 2 years old comment, but I had to evacuate my hatred.

+Redamancy sory but this is hard to belive. I played against Dirk sometimes , I play in a club and i practice a lot and i lost every time . Maybe it looks much more easy than it is. I doubt that anyone who is not in a club or a turnamentplayer will have even a little chanse against him.

@@tassay Dirk's quick shots look like they were hitting the corner just about every time. Most people trying to shoot that quick wouldn't be on goal half the time. He's clearly very good.

I can tell you than everybody can do what he did, and it's soooooo bad manner to play like that. I play regulary against Divison 1 players and trust me every pro dislike this kind of players there is no techniques, A good player observe a lot and influence is opponent, I hate this guy, shooting with five everytime for have a point... Unsightly, and disrescpectful.
