I caught a beer can shaped electric eel just today and just after the fishing event ended. I use the bait from the formula that Marjorie sells. Can also use it multiple times without having to re-up or change bait. I crafted 15 but only needed one for about 10 fish including the electric eel. Edit: I was wrong about this one. As long as I have backup bait of the same kind, I won't need go through the bait change motion. So, my baits were automatically re-attached and I went through the stack I had. Every fish cost me a single bait. Only time I had to press "R" to change bait was after I'd exhausted the stack of same I'd crafted. Craft as many individual baits as fish you expect to catch. We'll have to go through the animation every time we change to a new bait type.

I caught another couple eel and a barracuda during the event but was fishing outside of the "rainbow" effect. I have no idea why I need to catch these cichlids with stars or without. For the most part I haven't found a use for them. Fishing is good to catch the electric eel but otherwise I'm uninterested when I have the eels I need. I'm probably not informed of fishing value and hopefully someone will enlighten me because I doubt I'll keep fishing from now forward.

You can also get beaver at the same spot you get the eel. There is a beaver that spawns on the dock

Also, don't be afraid to swap out lower performing tier deviants in the cases for the higher ones. eventually, you will amass a large collection of deviants in your backpack (i'm looking at you especially Mr. Mini Feaster) with nowhere really to put them (kinda wish they would implement a evoution mechanic where you an condense/upgrade spare deviants of the same type into a more powerful single variant that does more. would take care of the eventual deviant backpack clutter in the long run.)

If you are on a PvE server, if you hold P you can toggle PvP and see their HP bar far in the distance to see if they have spawned or not :) Everyone is pretty friendly on PvE servers anyway so you shouldn't have any trouble.

I think it's just me. but... you really need to fix ur wiring.... You can connect Wires from Power Source to Device + Device Think of this (---->) as a Wire Ex. Solar Panel 15W ----> Refining Facility 10W ----> Compact Water Filter 6W As long as the power required is not higher than the first connection, the other connected devices will work. But you probably already know that. ^^ just saying for those who dunno ^^

it depends , you dont want 1 wire going from power source then to everything that needs power, if one of the devices breaks im sure the wire will disconnect leaving the rest without power till u notice and fix it, so PvP its bad and if u do the tower defence thing, need to make sure that wont happen. Wiring isnt a problem at all of being messy since you can turn it off, tho it is only client side so others see it but who cares what others think

Few things. Regarding Digbys, the drop most from silver, the can go out of your territory slightly, but if there are no nodes the will generate one themselves to mine (this is the same with all? territory deviants). Regarding the beavers, they should spawn at all fishing docks, meaning anytime you are farming fish you can also check for them. Other good ones to get are the farming ones bee, rainman and growshroom.

Thank you for the fantastic tips! One thing I noted, when I was looking for the Fetch-a-lot bunny, is that the tree will respawn in the same spot without you needing to change worlds, and fairly quickly, so I was able to get the bunny pretty easily by just waiting for the respawn. I was at the bald cypress at 5379, -6513. I did have the steel pickaxe and the cypress also dropped ore as well. So that was cool.

the frog deviant is very useful too. you can make spring legs potions from it which make getting to the hard to reach crates much easier.

These are good but don’t forget a good combat deviant. These can help you push to level 50 quickly by helping you in battle. I suggest the samurai and then the dogs, as they multiply doing a lot of damage to help you clear silos or story missions more efficiently. Late game tip is Mr wish for bullseye multiplier

beaver and diggyboy are just cute to see around, with a basic chainsaw, i gather 40k wood in 10 mins, after one day , beaver gathered like 600 wood and diggy boy like 50 of each (stone , sulfur , tin and iron)

There is the bee that helps with gardening. They are near the vineyard labyrinth at the Sutherland Family Orchard which you can get pretty early on also.

Silver always drops a digby boy it’s any the rarity of the node. But there is a chance to get him from any node. The area helps but isn’t necessary.

Since I can't play and am stuck waiting for the devs to fix everything they broke in this reboot here are two questions: Can deviants only mine what's in your base area? And are the collection level/tier dependent on the difficulty of the zone you collect them in? Anecdotally I'm guessing yes on the last one as I always seem to get 3x3/or higher in the lvl 50+ zones.

@@P4wnyhof That'd be my experience as well. My digby legs it way outside my base to farm. It's a bit odd but since it's nigh impossible to get any decent building going while having nodes as well as not touching them I suspect it was the only way.

samurai opathing was WAY betetr than the butterfly and the less said about the near-useless mini-feaster the better, 150 power, activity level 2 and i'd get maybe 2-3 attacks outta my "best" one while the butterfly and samurai are mercing entire clusters (and mid-bosses) on their own.

The eel is... not good, nothing like having half your turrets suddenly stop working because your eel got tired. Digby: I've gotten one using the solar drill on a silver. I suspect it's chance based, and the slower you mine the node, the more chances you get.

The ginormous tree will respawn if you get far enough away from it and then you can cut it down again. You can keep doing this to get as many of the Deviants you want.

digby boy is not only found in tin ore, but it is guaranteed in silver ore and it can also be farmed by drill, not only by pickaxe.

Thing is, it's only guaranteed if you don't have a lot, i don't know the specific number, but Silver have the highest chance to drop one in my experience. Can't tell for gold because i had already way above 10 before mining my first gold ore.

Digby Boy’s as of right don’t seem to collect tungsten or aluminium at all. You also don’t need resources within your base for them to collect ore’s, they spawn the ore’s themself.

They do spawn some themselves but I noticed a higher yield over night with a denser amount of Nodes in your base!

tip: so far, they only mine one ore resource tier higher than the area map region you are in. with a digby, you will collect tin around deadsville, iron around the myers market, aluminum around the iron river, etc. areas where otherwise, you would need to upgrade your pickaxe respectively to mine those resources. the digbys bypass that area restriction by one tier giving you ealy access to those metals. i'm current stuck at the iron phase, and need some aluminum to progress my tech.

Apperently you can get Fetch A Bunny when choping any gigantic tree, not just the oen you showed. Also, I found another beewer in the docks near Meyer's Market During fishing event. I assume fishing event don't have to be ongoing to find it. I also heard you can fidn them at any location where this fishing events spawn, but can't confirm myself.

the digby hasnt dropped for me in days. he also mines random ore. i got the one in the town for my first one. i had only iron in my teritory and he brought back only copper after 6 hours of playing in the lvl25-28 region. in the lvl 30 region he brought me copper and tin after a few hours of playing. again i set up my base to not have copper or tin in the zone.

The Mining Operation Plattform is weird and sometimes bugged yes! I do believe they need to tinker on that one and have the fetch a bunny or paperman also take the ressources to your base!

Check your memetics. In the Logistics tab you need to upgrade the Securement Unit Expansion to raise the limit on securement units (deviants). Hope this helps!!

You DO NOT get Digby from tin. You get them as a guaranteed drop from mining SILVER nodes. They do look similar to tin, I'll admit.

deviant traits. they are little add ons to a deviant's regular operation. can be plus or minus traits, it's luck of the capture really, one might have an additional resource collection trait, or it might be a negative trait that hinders power or mood recovery. the yellow ovals are a good thing and means a stronger deviant than a plain old 1/1 critter.

base 2 upgrade in the mimetic skill tree, and the adjacent containment 2 upgrade. ups the deviant containment to the max of 20.

Anyone know if you can you have more than one lethal rabbit in the base? For passive meat collection. I Got one after roughly 40 skins, but keep killing and skinning rabbits and can't get another one to drop...Unlike other deviations which I have duplicates of.

i cringed with how "cypress" was pronounced lol. i know trees is all so when i heard it i was like "AHHHH! NO!!! its PSY-press not psypress!" that being said though my issue with the game is the accumulation of acid. learned how farming acid with the water pump works and thats too much for me to deal with. hoping to get the gather bunny. i got the electric eel without trying, second cast i got one while someone else was farming it for hours without getting one which made me laugh cuz like i said, i didn't even want one yet there it is!

It can happen - It is random I feel pickaxe gives better results than drill but drill also works!

Completely random, I got mine when I first mined Tin, I didn't even do the diggy boy subquest and not even finished with the first major boss (the jelly gatling guy). Just randomly farmed tin so I can be "overly prepared" to shred him to pieces. Investment was worth it.
