You can use the listeners for reporting purpose and you can place the breakpoint at that step

It prints in the console only when the assertions are failed buddy. For successful assertions it won't print anything. If you want to print even for successful assertions then you can override the assert class or implement the logging in the project

For Assert.assertEquals , in NOT equal case, the custom message is not getting printed in my log.info in Java . Where actually it is getting printed?

It will be printed in the console buddy. Can you check it and confirm me once

May be and may not be buddy. Because it all depends on our requirement. Let's take the assertions as example here. Some use the TestNG assertions only but some uses the assertions from assertj library instead of TestNG
