I loved the repetition advice! sounds sooo obvious when you tell it, but I did not realise about it before

I already bought your online course but I keep finding videos from you on KZbin and I MUST watch them....as soon as I'm done watching all this videos, I will start with the course

Haha, yeah there are a lot of videos here which really work well with the course material. The courses and the KZbin channel (and podcast) are all kind of designed to work together.

Thanks Tim, this series has been so incredibly helpful, this is a gold mine of information. Personally I would love to see a video where you elaborate on drawing the same environment from different angles (so a distant shot like you drew in this video, and perhaps a ground level view) and I would really like to see how you approach choosing your shots and angles based on what's happening in the scene, if the amount of action (or lack of it) has any kind of impact on your decision when choosing an angle.

Tim, this is terrific! I've been very excited to understand your approach to drawing these very organic city environments from your book. Establishing repeating iconography as building blocks for my environments is going to be huge for my own comic world building!!! One thing that I don't feel like you went into in this video is how to get your construction drawing aligned with perspective. Your freehanding/eyeballing a lot of this, which I assume comes from drawing this city so much. Did you build any grid systems when you first started creating these environments? I could imagine building some on my initial approach. But the environments are so complex, it would take a while to build a solid grid and then translate that grid to oval shapes. Thanks for all your content. I've really enjoyed it.

Hey Tim, loving your content as usual. Have you ever thought about making a video on drawing old sailing ships/square rigs/"pirate ships"? I feel like there is a huge dearth of information on this topic online despite the richness of the tradition of naval paintings. I don't know if it's in your wheelhouse or not, but I know it would be helpful for some and would sure be a good lesson in managing detail and proper construction, etc. Just a thought! Thanks for all your hard work, dude. :)

So if I understand clearly. In your comic you don't have an objective layout of the space station. Each establishing shot is constructed by some composition constraints and repetition of form in a pleasing way for the eyes. It's an "idea" of location not a "virtual" location as it would be in 3d generated space station.
