Your poor leylines in phase 1, this guy is the worst. Your editing in this is really good! Hic Svnt Leones works really well as soundtrack for phase 2 videos, and I particularly enjoyed the opening words set to the raidwide and busters, the sync was perfect. The audio and video transitions are very nicely done. I did my static's video edits for P8S, and the Forcible Failure sound effect over and over and over and over as I was going through the footage made me want to claw out of my skin. So many weeks of this bloody nonsense.

Yeah snapshot was such a dirty mechanic lol. I would literally look away during the animation, turn around to hit the boss and WIPE THE PARTY BECAUSE THE ACTUAL MECHANIC HAPPENED AFTER THE FLASH OF THE GLARE. I DID THIS FOR TWO HOURS HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW LOL. half a year late but w/e

idk what you mean by purple but if you mean the little line at the end it shows you the approximate time you can slidecast, but it varies by ping so its not really worth it.

Describe to me how any of this is enjoyable. Stellar editing work, and a great showing all-around; you and your lads must've held some insane patience to land this clear! But goddamn, every time I watch one of these raid-prog montages - after setting aside the excellent production itself - I just cannot help but think this doesn't look fun in the slightest. Maybe it just takes a certain type of person to willingly throw themselves against fights like these (or I've been out of the raiding scene for far too long (or both)).

Raids in this game are quite primitive and same from boss to boss. It always comes down to constant dancing. Sometimes they make puzzle bosses such as Hephaistos second phase which are way more fun than stand in this pixel perfect position or wipe. I played Guild Wars 2 back in 2020 and raid design is completely different in that game. Deimos for example require one player to be a hand kiter. Quadim 2 three pylon dps that peformed mechs unique to them. Dhuum three green duty players + one of them kiting mobs and healing an npc so the raid wouldn’t wipe. It wasn’t as hard as savages but it was way more fun than even ultimates can offer

You just gotta take it one step at a time. In a montage, it just looks like you're randomly dying to shit over and over. You are definitely dying over and over, but you tangibly get better the whole time, and each fight has a mix of mostly punishing but pretty easy to pick up mechanics and a couple "wall" mechs that take longer. And if you're sane, you have a group that is having a good time in voice while doing it.

oh its fun, as bicks said, its a slow process of everyone in the group slowly mastering each mechanic as you get farther and farther in the fight (and shitposting as you go), and for especially viscous fights like this, the caveman screeches everyone does when you just barely clear after weeks is euphoric, even if it pisses off everyone trying to sleep

WoW raids have similar mechanics like GW2 so do the BA and DRS raids but they're not even close to ultimates. Edit: p8s p2 puzzling is only fun doing it blind. following a guide or reclearing that fight was not fun after you've solved it. p4s p2 was great or p12s p2 as well since it doesn't just have puzzles
