2 years na kami nakauwi dito sa Pilipinas from Canada after 15 years. Di naman ibig sabihin pag uuwi, failure ka na. Maraming reasons at marami nang nag bago sa Canada and only those who live there know. Masaya at less stress ang simpleng pamumuhay namin dito sa Pilipinas. Kahit ano pa ang sabihin nang iba, masarap parin dito sa ating bansa. Yong di ka nakikisiksik sa banyagang Bansa. Mahalin natin ang Pilipinas ❤❤❤❤

Malungkot LANG kung walang pamilya dito sa US . Pero sa case ko, I have no plans to live in the Philippines as of yet. I want to retire here in the US. OK naman kami dito sa US. Kasi naman buong pamilya namin nandito sa states. Magkakalapit lang ang mga bahay naming mag ka kapatid. We all own our own homes. Konting kibot may birthday party yung mga anak namin. Share ng ulam, parang sa Pinas lang. Malaking pamilya kami. Lahat ng mga anak namin dito na pinanganak. Ang mga magpipinsan hindi siguro nila kakayanin ang mabuhay sa Pinas especially when they don’t know the language at wala kaming uuwian sa Pinas. I have to embrace retirement in the US to not lose contact with family, because family is where home is.

Speaking of kamag anak, totoo yan. Like yung dalawang japanese na mother and daughter who got killed by her own sister. Pag may pera ka at alam nila na galing ka sa ibang bansa, they think na mayaman ka na. Aalagaan ka nila Oo, pero pag tanda mo, good bye and you’re on your own. Kaya ako ayaw ko nang umuwi sa pinas pero don’t get me wrong, i still love my own country, pero tingin kasi sa iyo sa pinas pag uwi, pera ang tingin nila sa iyo. Dito at least sa US, pag naospital ka, buhay muna ang inuuna at hindi pera. Accept ka dito sa hospital or clinic without down payment muna. And they don’t criticize you for who you are, they hire you and no discrimination. Ingat na lang kayo sa pinas. God bless you all.

Yung mga pinagsasabi nyo wag nyo nilalahat ang buong Canada. Wala pang pandemic ginto na ang housing sa inyo. Ang sabihin mo maganda sa Canada kasi nakaraos ka... Naging citizen ka at pwede kang bumalik kamo habang nanjan ka. Tulad nitong nagvlog dito. Panay ang daing sa inflation pero nagawang makapundar sa Pinas habang reklamo ng reklamo sa inflation dito. Saka boss hindi lahat tanga, Maraming nakarating dito naghanda at may laman ang bulsa nung tumira dito. Hindi lahat suntok sa buwan na dumating dito. Mahirap kasi sa inyo pag sinabi ng isa na nahirapan sila dapat lahat nahihirapan din. Mas marami ang nageenjoy dito at nagstay kesa sa umuuwi. Yung mga umuuwi tulad nyo kayo ang failure. Kasi di nyo nakayanan pero sasabihin nyo dual citizens kayo. Pag may nangyari sa Pinas babalik din kayo. pwe

Kami 6 yrs na dito sa Canada, may sariling bahay at sasakyan na hindi namin magawa sa pinas, yes loan at mortgage sya, eitherway, sa pinas eloloan mo rin naman not unless may milliones ka para mag cash out ng bahay, wala kaming negosyo sa pinas ordinary employees lang at combined salary hindi talaga afford maka loan ng sasakyan dun, sa bahay nakikitira lang kami sa relatives. When we arrived in Canada I would say maraming nabigay na opportunities sa amin lalo na nung pandemic, dun kami nakabili ng bahay na mura pa ang presyo at interest rate. May insurance yes normal lang naman, kahit sa pinas may insurance din naman bahay at sasakyan mo kung meron ka nyan. Overall, maganda parin opportunities dito lalo na sa mga kids. Family oriented, may quality time, walang traffic dito sa amin nasa NB kasi kami. One factor din talaga ang pipiliing province, kung big city gust0 nyo ex0ect high cost of living. Dito sa province namin laidback, chill at maraming parks, green and clean environment. Pero syempre mahal parin natin ang Pinas, uuwi or magbakasyon nalang paminsan minsan.

To each their own. I left Canada 35 years ago which most Pinoys would consider a very bad decision. On the surface yes but I'm actually one of 300,000 non-resident Canadians living in HK. I get the best of both worlds as I work in a low tax city with great infrastructure and free and very efficient Healthcare. I also get to visit Manila 2-3 times a year for extended stays so it's like I never left the Philippines. Had I stayed in Canada I probably would only get to visit Manila once every five or ten years like most Can-Fils. On every trip I always have a smile when I arrive in Manila and a smile when I arrive in HK as these cities are vastly different but are both happening places in their own way.

im an ofw here in Europe for 8 years na i never ever thought of ddalhin ko pamilya ko dito sa europa ang hirap ng sitwasyon dito kesa sa pinas im here only for work and si misis nsa pinas lng may mga paupahan bahay nko nabili sa pinas at sskyan at lupa sariling bahay sa subdivision.. work then retire home sa pinas yan ang goal ko! hindi minsan nauunawaan ni misis bkit dko sila dinadala dito dnya alam she needs to work pag andito sya and she is sakitin i doubt kayahin nya mag work sa eu standards..shes a midwife but sa pinas sa sahod ko ditosa europe sobra sobra pra hindi sya mag work at maging home mommy lng.. hindi po paraiso ang canada australia america or uk europe sa pinas masarap mabuhay!

All they care about is that they have roof on their heads and when that roof is already out of shape, they just leave and find a new one. Am a victim of that kind of renter.

One thing I noticed with Pnoy's mahilig sa suv, kaya karamihan yun agad ang binibili kahit mahal kaya may utang agad. In my case almost 2 decades na ako , up to now im still using the 2nd hand sedan car I bought when I arrived here. Im retired & can afford to buy a new car in cash but what for, my present car can bring me to wherever place Id like to go, which are church, grocery & restaurants. I invest in stocks, bonds, preferred shares, reit's, etf.

before may SuV din ako- tapos truck asawa ko// OMG wala talaga - nung 2017 nag decide kami benta lahat ng card namin and we bought isang second hand truck.. ako sanay naman sa commute - and now mortgage lang problema ko, kahit papanu nakaka ipon na talaga.. tapos nakakapag travel din - kase naging low maintenance na kami, hindi kami nakikipag socialize na work work and travel ba lang.. wala akong paki kung nag commute lang ako basta may ipon ako at ma limit na hunihiraman ng mga social climber hahaha..

Brother ko nasa Canada. Kami dito sa Pinas. Ayoko dun dahil sa winter haha. And mas marami pa ring mura dito sa Pinas. Depende sa choice mo. Kasj kung marami namang pera dito sa Pinas, mas masarap tumira pa rin dito. We have business so we’re doing good. Maraming beaches dito you can relax anytime. Worried about healthcare? Buy HMO and addtl insurance . Sila naman kasi they have income from the house rental. And if meron savings they can put up a business here. If we talk about quality of life, walang kwenta if lagi kang pagod so you can survive. Dapat balanse. May kanya kanya advantage. Pangit dito sa Pinas is yung safety kaya low key ka lang din dapat. Marami pa ring masasamang loob. Alert ka dapat lagi. So depende sa choice mo talaga. Ako kasi tamad ako gumising ng maaga at ayoko ng winter so I prefer Pinas hehe.

More Elder people lived long in the Philippines rather than in Canada , why ?? because of the habits and food . Yes Canada has a very good health benefits but if you compared the lifestyle in the Philippines and Canada is way better to live in Philippines , The food in the Philippines is way fresh and organic than Canada , Sunlight and Smooth breezy temperature is more important to our body rather than a 6mos of Cold winter that can cause you mentally stressed , if you get old in Canada homecare is your home until you die but in the Philippines if you have a nice house and small land you can enjoy your day while planting plants harvest your fruits , having a short walked for exercise and eat fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables , life is short , you can't lived forever , don't waste your remaining life working hard ..

My woman is Pinay and while she misses 'home' she won't go back unless PH becomes a well developed country. Elementary at High School lang po ang Libre dito at sa Public school lang at saka madaminh reklamo sila dito sa public school kasi di halos natutu ang mga bata kaya napipilitan cla dito na gumastos at ipasok nlang sa mga Catholic School kasi mas may tiwala sila dito at pagdating sa College po sobrang mahal po at di na libre kaya nha po dito kasagaran di nila napapag aral sa mga Kilalang Universities anak nila kasi ang mahal, may mga College na maliliit dito yon lang ang halos kaya nila yong tipong College na kung tawagin sa atin ay Tesda College maliliit na college at kung talagang gusto nila sa malalaking Universities nag loloan po ang tga dito at binabayaran nlang pag nkatapos at nkapag work na ang mga anak nila.

same with my bro in SFO, USA . As much as he wants to retire here in the Phils., he couldn't bec.of his heallth. He's been away for almost 5 decades and dislikes how SFO has deteriorated . Hi, sa lahat. 1 year na rin kami ng family ko sa Pilipinas after living sa America for 25 years. Actually, akala ko sa America na ako permanent but yung husband kong foreigner, siya pa yung nag-encourage sa akin na umuwi ng Pilipinas for good. Not too bad sa Pinas if willing kang mamuhay ng simpleng lifestyle. Up to now nag-aadjust pa rin kami sa lifestyle dito, pero masaya naman at tahimik ang buhay. We're full-time and hands-on parents taking care of our 14 year old son. Sa mga nagbabalak umuwi ng Pinas for good, just do it if kaya naman financially esp. yung may mga retirement income na. Live life and enjoy. Life is too short, and tomorrow is not guaranteed. Good luck sa lahat.

D2 sa Canada dapat simpleng buhay lang wag magarbo maluho. Libre pa hospital at pa doctor d2 mga gamot pag may company insurance ka 10 percent lang bayaran mo sa gamit minsan wala pa. Pag nasa Pinas ka na pag nagkasakit ka yun ang pinakamahirap magastos hindi Libre dapat may insurance ka. Para sa akin goods pa din d2 sa Canada basta simpleng pamumuhay lang at wag magarbo na parang nakikipag compitensya na sa iba.

financial literacy is the key talaga po. inflation is a very minor factor na sinasabi mo. naka focus kasi ang most of the pinoys sa high salary. di nila alam kapag tumataas ang income nila, tumataas din ang gastos monthly. you will really be broke po if ganito mindset nyo. kahit gaano pa ka taas income mo if di ka marunong mag budget, wala ka talaga mararating. mas prefer ko po kahit $3k lang income ko monthly pero nakakasave ng kahit $150 monthly. compared sa may income na sample lang $8k monthly pero walang savings kahit $100 lang. it's not about inflation po, or how low your salary is. it's the gap between your monthly income & monthly expenses. the wider the gap, the better. FYI sa mga wala pa sa Canada na may monthly allowance po per child around $350-$550 per month per child. so if 4 anak mo, meron ka more or less additional $2k per month.

Maganda lang sa pinas kapag may laman pa ang bulsa. Pero kapag manipis na ang budget, dyan mararamdaman ang pagkakaiba ng Canada at Pinas lalo na kung meron ka permanent work dun at iniwan mo lng sa matagal na panahon. Mahirap din kapag isa lang ang meron work tpos dami bills, mahirap talaga khit na meron child benefits, minsan kulang pa rin. Good experience for the kids but you need to face the reality of staying in Pinas. Khit na meron pang brand new house sa pinas lalo Mas magastos kasi dalawa ang mortgage. Just saying lang po. Anyway enjoy at ingat na lng kabayan.

Let's be reallistic, sa canada spacious at malamig , sa pinas napakasikip at mainit kaya araw araw ay traffic which is very stressful kung sobrang traffic at sobrang init, pag may malubhang sakit ka sa canada Gaya ng cancer ang focus mo na lang ay kung paano ka gagaling dahil libre ang doctor at hospital at gamot para sa lahat kahit pobre ka. sa Pinas pag may malubha Kang sakit at pobre ka o kahit middle class ka kawawa ka. Pag 45:03 inatake ka sa puso at dinala ka sa hospital at wala Kang pang deposit good bye ka na dahil hindi ka gagamutin which is so inhumane, sa America, pag may dinala Kang pasyente sa hospital, by law , they have to stabilize d patient first before discussing anything else , by law they to attend to d patient right away coz if they don't n something bad happens to d patient then they can be sued for negligence, doctors n hospitals will be held accountable which can result to d doctor losing his license to practice or even imprisonment n a big fine fir d hospital to pay, do we have this kind of law in d Philippines? No we don't, yung pamilya na umuwi ng Pinas at Sabi nila na mahirap ng tumira sa canada jesuo ganito o gantan na raw, that's totally bullshit, they are just justifying their decision of going back to d Philippines , sa canada o America kahit sa Mcdonald ka lang mag trabaho hindi ka na o pamilya mo magugutom . Blaming inflation is a piss poor excuse for overextending themselves, maxing credit cards and loans doon, loans dito. They did not delay gratification at all, they went all out buying things on impulse. The husband was spending and mishandling their finances like there was no tomorrow. Gigil na gigil gumastos kahit hindi pa kinikita. Impulsive buying and hyperconsumerism at its finest. They should have prioritized saving for 9-12 months of emergency fund instead of buying cars and things that depreciate in value. They need to learn how to wait, save money first before buying anything. Almost all of their things were bought using credit cards and loans. They wanted to impress the netizens, relatives and friends so they renovated their kitchen, bought new furniture, and a 77" LG TV that cost $4500 even before getting his bonus when they already have an old 55" TV that stil works. Bonuses are taxed at a much higher rate and he did not take that into account. Living above and beyond your means have consequences, this is a fine example. I hope they have learned their lesson and do a much better job managing their finances in the future.
