BUTATA, unlike other sports songs talking about the offensive, is all about defensive plays. Butata translates to Blocked by Slapping the Ball. In the first stanza, he's talking about them being higher in score but the opponent got the ball on the last minute. Their opponents thought that their offensive play will turn the tide, but he did BUTATA the 3 pointer. On the last stanza, he's talking about how heated the game was that led him to committing Charging Foul that gave the opponents the ball. Once again, they thought they'd win, but again he did BUTATA them. He referenced Hakeem (NBA Player), and Sakuragi & Gori (SlamDunk Anime characters) who are all good at defense. Aside from the obvious sport meaning of the song, he's probably talking about their position in the music industry. La luna will always be a special song to me as it's how I discovered SB19. I love the lore of La Luna (Alpha threatening to come out) and Presyon (when the wolf broke free. A reckoning song). ALON and LAON are mirror images. ALON (translation: wave. Also looks like alone, minus e) is when he was in the depths of despair, fighting both internal and external battles.. while LAON (translation: time has passed. Also a Filipino deity associated with divine justice, agriculture, creation and sky) is kinda like an emerging healed version of himself. Pablo is a genius. He created literary masterpieces in the form of songs. He's also my favourite SB19 member (but I do love them all too). SB19 are not just talented singers, dancers, rappers and performers.. they're top tier creative artists.
