Aoa Captain, in one of your videos you mentioned you were part of the crew in one of the PNSC'S ship "MAKRAN". My late nana (M. Hanif Khan) served PNSC for 30 years and retired as a chief engineer. When I was a kid (1994-1996), we visited Karachi and Makran was docked at port. I have wonderful memories as I stayed in his cabin for two days before the ship departed for a voyage.

Most probably a crew ignited a ciggerate within the reach of the hydrocarban plus oxygen leading to a massive blast and caused 3 crews bodies turned to kima ( micro chunks ). As such 3 bodies couldn'd be found. This is my personal opinion, which may not be true.

Sir, I have a question. Let's assume that the vessel was old and there was a compromise in the safety. My question is isn't there a governing body that certifies the sea-worthiness of the vessel? Wouldn't the vessel not have been stopped before being allowed to go on its next voyage? Is it such a difficult task? Being an engineer, I know that a simple ISO certification takes a huge effort with audits being carried out every month. Here you move from one region to another and every region, every country have their own safety norms that need to be met. How was there a gap in this case, I fail to understand. Just a point of discussion and please not a debate.
