As an American...plenty of Americans listen to "traphall". It's not super-popular here, but neither is traditional dancehall or soca or roots style or whatever. People still listen to it though. No one is going to be as big as Bob was, just like no rock band will ever be as big as the Beatles were. Pablo is good though. I like him and hope he succeeds. Same way for the other young artistes doing traphall, dancehall, roots style, soca, or whatever.

The "Do you think there's a market?" question makes me roll my eyes sometimes. Everything has to start somewhere before there's a market for it, and that means taking risks and trying something new. Like, where was the market for Reggae when Reggae just started? There was none. The market developed over time as more and more people began to gravitate towards and as investors and pioneers of the genre pushed it further.
