That's what really disgusts me about it. I wouldn't do that especially with a pandemic we're still dealing with. There was even a concern in the South Pacific with kava drinkers all sharing the same tanoa, by just scooping it up with their bilo, and not pouring it out with something like a ladle. Kava is another favourite drink of mine and really helps my anxiety, especially in the summer.

el mate se expandio de la campaña a la ciudad, nace como bebida calorica para mitigar el hambre y el frio en los trabajadores de llanuras y campos, frios en su mayoria, que debian aprovechar las horas de sol y no podian interrumpir sus tareas para preparar almuerzo. generalmente se tomaba de mañana y despues del mediodia. .

Im from argentine, i dont drink MATE but the first time when you tried drink MATE with 1/2 little spon of sugar in every MATE, the taste of mate its like a green tea without sugar but a little more strong flavor

@@AJdada815 It is fine. You can even use honey or stevia. There are some brands like CBSe that are already mixed with sugar or other flavors like mint, lemon or orange. For foreigners it is better to start with a bit of sugar so you don't find it extremely bitter. The traditional way is without sugar but you can do whatever you want with it. Some people put milk or alcohol (never tried it that way personally).

It's Uruguayan, Paraguayan, Brazilian n Argentinian tradicional drink. Also Brazil is the largest producer of yerba mate in the world. The biggest Yerba selling in Uruguay is the Canarias, also produced in Brazil.

Bruh, get your facts straight. the biggest producer is Argentina. then Brazil at 2nd place but it's only a thing in the south near the border between the 2 countries. most Brazilian aren't into it. Uruguay is the biggest consumer per capita, Argentina biggest producer, it created in Paraguay. Brazil is not even close in any of those categories

When u say Brazil is not even close of those categories, How can u say that, being Brazil the second largest producer n with Argentina n Uruguay one of the largest consumers in the world ? In Brazil, in the southern region they mostly drink it hot, calling it chimarão or just mate, n in the rest of the regions of Brazil, in special in the midwest region, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Brasília n Mato Grosso, they drink it mostly cold, tereré. Also Brazilians consume yerba mate, like in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo n etc, just like a regular tea, in sachets, or in bottles. Every single store in Brazil u will find yerba mate, a really famous brand in Brazil for those type of mate are, mate leão.

El padrón de esa yerba es uruguayo y los dueños de baldo y Canarias que es lo mismo son uruguayo aunque plantamos en Brasil pero elaboración o padrón es uruguayo y es diferente a la yerba mate de Brasil que es un polvo verde y también diferente a la yerba Argentina que es un nido de castor que se lava muy rápido y muy mal sabor

@@nicolasbreppe462 nosotros no plantamos yerba en Uruguay no porque no crezca aquí si creze es más es una planta autóctona que crece en los montes indígenas pero si plantamos acá en Uruguay sale de mala calidad como la yerba Argentina y por eso plantamos en Brasil por tener mejores condiciones de clima y tierras exclusivas para el cultivo de yerba pero el padrón es uruguayo o sea la receta y los dueños de la Canarias o baldo que son lo mismo son uruguayo y solo producen yerba con nuestro padrón también hay otras empresas en Brasil que producen yerba con padrón uruguayo para nosotros y nuestra yerba es diferente todos nuestro tipo de molienda es medio tirando a fino y sin palos y la de los brasileños que es un polvo verde y también diferente a la de ustedes que es puro palo ...si plantamos en Brasil pero tenemos la mejor yerba ustedes plantan en Argentina pero ya sabemos la mala calidad nosotros si quisiéramos también podían plantar acá pero para tomar cosas beretas preferimos plantar en Brasil y así tenemos la mejor yerba mate como la Canarias

Mi abuela toma del cebador,y la abuelita.Antes tomaba Canarias y cambio a canarias serena. EXACTLY! It may need some extremely slight repositioning depending on the quality of the yerba and how much dust it has (since it may clog the bombilla) but generally there's no need to touch it

It's due to the way in which it is dried imo, with smoke and fire. I worry about this due to the smoke that you're inhaling from the drying process when drinking it. I recommend Kraus. It's so fresh and i don't worry that brand. Dried with fresh air and water instead of fire

You can add sweetener in it, or a squeeze of lemon

You can add less than half of a teaspoon of sugar on top, that will last for 2 or 3 servings, then you add a bit more. That's how I started years ago. Now I prefer it bitter.

La yerba Canarias se trae exclusivamente desde Brasil, creo que es el mismo productor que cosecha y vende a Canarias Uruguay hace mil años...pero si se procesa aquí en Uruguay. Más allá de que la materia prima en sí es brasileña, el estilo del proceso es de aquí. Diferente al brasileño que la muelen demasiado y no la dejan estacionar (yerba con un color muy verde chillón) y diferente a la Argentina que es puro palo y hoja no muy molida
