For me, this is what started to cement Chase as one of the all-time greatest Arrowverse villains. Prometheus was terrifying, enigmatic, fascinating and well-developed before his identity was revealed, but when Adrian Chase unmasked, his character and story-arc changed into a higher-gear, making him all the more-dangerous and compelling. And it just continued to snowball towards the epic 'Lian Yu' finale. Josh Segarra and the creative team really did such a great job with this villain, producing the best arch-nemesis for the show since Deathstroke. Season 5 was SO bloody great.

MrDCWood The weird Boston/Irish accent mix Segarra gave The Character also made him more distinctive than some previous Arrow antagonists and it`s obvious in both Chase`s features and his initial relationship with Ollie prior to the reveal why Tommy Merlyn was selected to be his Earth-X counterpart.Interesting that Prometheus seems fated to commit suicide to spite Ollie on every Earth.

To be fair he had to pretend to be the family man and DA to get oliver to trust him and if you actually rewatch some of adrian’s scenes he drops hints that he is Prometheus some were like inside jokes only him and the audience understand...like when he told oliver “it’s ok i don’t hold grudges” or he told oliver “oliver you aren’t just my boss you are my friend” or when he went ahead to cover up billy’s murder then told oliver after he had already done it and said it was oliver’s idea

Who's here after Arrow 8x01. Oliver telling Chase that he's 10 steps ahead of him brings me back to this scene. S5 was great and Adrian was such a great villian, so seeing him as the Hood in 8x01 was cool and different. Also I think Adrian Chase on earth 2 might have been trained by Bruce Wayne which is fucking awesome.

if we use the comic books, then yes, bruce wayne really survived to become the batman, but, probably he died in the beginning and his father took the mantle, then probably not, but, if we use the series, probably we can find out that his trained is basically robert queen, that was mentioned as the hood on the flash 2x06, that obliviously on earth-2. if we take the point that damian darhk from earth-2 is such dark and evil like black siren mentioned, probably he attempted to kill robert queen, the problem is, he did it? probably not, because if the timelines are similar on earth 2 to earth 1, then robert queen never meet adrian chade on a kinda of seadon 5, from earth-2 (probably the timelines are similar because if you rewatch the season 8, episode 1 of arrow, you can find out on arrowcave from earth-2 that there is some suits on background, that are very similar to wild dog and mr. terrific), then probably robert queen still defeating demien darhk, that's kinda weird cause i can't see any villain from earth-2 that showed up, or received even one mention that can really defeat and kill robert queen (if he's such skilled as his son of earth-2, obliviously), because: reverb, the probably most powerful meta-human was killed by zoom. zoom, the fastest man alive on earth-2 before jesse quick, is dead and became the black flash. adrian chase is a allie. tommy merlyn isn't to much skilled on episode 1, season 8 of arrow deathstroke probably exists, but we don't know about his version on earth-2. then i can only admit that he was killed by adrian chase, and he's trying to punish himself becoming the new hood, or the vigilante killed him, or jesse quick created a kinda of quickpoint, erased it and this earth-2 on episode 1, season 8 of arrow was the second timeline (let's remember that she wasn't such experienced on timeline manipulation, cause she attempted to say for barry back in time before the bomb activated, that would change completely the timeline in the future.

I've never been a fan of the CW shows. Flash was never my favorite show, and I was never attracted to it, even though it was fun. I don't say anything about Supergirl, Black Lighting... But what exactly kept me in suspense surprised, upset, caused a very large range of emotions is the Arrow. And the 5-th season presented Prometheus. My favourite Arrowverse villain to date. And after this season's finale, I realized that this is my favorite season on the CW. The villain and flashbacks are surprisingly great. New characters,villain a new tie and just an atypical plot with an interesting ending. Prometheus is really the best villain on Earth-Prime (Arrowverse). I still don't believe that after really bad 4-th season ame out a great 5-th that I was very impressed and I'm sure not me alone. Adrian Chase is a genius and the actor who played him deserves praise. He reeks of charisma.

Supergirl and Flash have elements from the comics I like ...characters from the comics...but it's a little too dull and realistic in Flash 'so case with the villain of the week, supergirl has good villain designs for people like silver banshee but idk I never watched supergirl or black lightning either. Supergirl can have bad writing

Why cant you just shoot him?) 2) A villain must apply pressure on the protagonist. (The greater the pressure, the more powerful the revelation to true character.) 3) The villain and the protagonist must be fighting for the same goal. Even though Adrian was one of the best villain, he is still the weakest. Never won a single fight against Oliver. He always planned a way out. He was smart. That's all. Malcolm, Slade, Ra's, Damien, Diaz, Dante, they all would kick his ass. Maybe he could defeat Emiko (and the secondary villains, like Tobias Church, Bronze Tiger, Anarchy, etc)

The thing about this villain and what I like in him the most, is that he always chose where, when and for how long he would fight Oliver. And I don't think he was kicking Oliver's ass before the secret revealing. He was fighting, he had a good endurance and could last long, like he did on the boat in the end of the season. Oliver was punching him like crazy asking where his son was, but he could stay there all day if he wanted. He WANTED to yield, because he already had a way out. He never took Oliver down like Malcolm did when he kidnapped innocent people on Christmas or when learned Oliver was the Green Arrow. Or like Slade when he fought Oliver, Diggle and Sara in the bunker. Or Ra's when he put a sword in Oliver's chest, etc
