I liked Championship DX so much, one of the rare game where I'm really competitive. When someone came to beat my high score my reaction would be to shout "You did WHAT!?!" before spending the day trying to reclaim the high score. It's such an amazing blend of classic arcade and modern freshness. It truly send the player back to the golden Era of arcades!

@Polygon Notice that in this game, when you collect a Power Pellet, the trails of ghosts turn blue with frightened faces, the entire maze turns entirely red, it becomes even more powered up than before, a frightened ghost timer is added in the center of the screen and the entire music becomes flanged.

This looks really cool, except I wish they kept the sleeping ghost system the same. Having them follow Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde and not having them be their own lines is kind of strange. The fruit system also changed a lot, the fruit now transports Pac and the Ghosts to a brand new maze instead of generating new mazes and pellets. I don't really like this change as I am used the original fruit mechanics. Everything else about the game looks cool however!

It definitely looks better than the original. The graphics and HUD are simpler, the ghosts have more depth, and the pacing of the gameplay is faster. This game is an absolute MUST!

I thought nothing would top Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+, since I personally find that one to be the best Pac-Man game (as far as the maze-styled installments go), but clearly this sequel will be the best one. This also makes me hope that Bandai-Namco will experiment with Galaga Legions again and make another, better installment.

So to advance you technically don't have to eat all thw dots, you have to eat enough so the fruit apperars and can move on. If you do eat all the dots you get a bomb instead.

You still have to get the fruit though. Eating all the dots gives you a bomb as a bonus for doing so.

Angered ghosts can kill you. Bumping into them normally will have no effect, unless it's done too much.

Absolutely abysmal, The fact that you HAVE to eat the first ghost to get a chain is unnecessary difficult, The visuals are fine but can clutter up your vision way more than CEDX or CE did. The ghost eating is supposed to be fun and the best part of Pac-man. this game completely misses that and made eating ghosts the HARDEST part of the entire game. 3/10
