Some of these were a real pain to find and/or get working. Let me know if you want to play any of them and I can make instructions for how to play them.

Any info about the Galaxy Games rom and if the rom would work on RetroArch by any chance? (The co-op part looked really interesting so I wanted to see if I could get Netplay working for it) Thanks in advance!
@philive16814 ай бұрын
@@LBP-Seramop The name of it is galgame2 and it works on mame. That's all I really know. Yeah I wonder how fun it would be playing with someone else, I just controlled both myself for the video.
@LBP-Seramop4 ай бұрын
@@philive1681 Welp, just tried it for myself. It at least works (On MAME 2010 (on RetroArch, no other version of MAME can run the game it seems)) but for some non-apparent reason the audio on my rom is sped up compared to your gameplay (maybe an issue with the rom I got or MAME 2010 (in RA) just does that to some games) The biggest downside of using it with RetroArch is that the core that’s able to run the game can’t be used with Netplay, so there goes the online co-op I was hoping to do.. T_T Thanks again for help with locating the rom to the game!!

Interesting how all the ports for Japanese platforms try to stay as close to the arcade as possible, while many Western ports are more along the lines of "interpretations"

There's actually another version not featured here; the version included in Pac-Man World 3. At first glance that version appears to be emulation, but no! It is a ground-up recreation of the arcade game. Some notable visual differences is the lack of gate in the ghost house, the orange being colored red, and the fruits having a new "popping-in" animation.

This is some real dedication for a comparison video! Most people usually just show gameplay, but you went out of your way to show us the game's sprites as well. Yes, it's a fairly basic thing, but most people don't even consider doing that.

@BIGGERSHOT127-v1w I do admit the PC-800 version is more of a scream, but it's too bitcrushed to me to sound any more terrifying. That and the PC-88 version is just a harsh screech...

Man it's funny how the COLORS of the ghosts are sometimes very inconsistent. A green one usually replaces Inky or Clyde! I know this is probably because of how hard it is to emulate certain colors, but the ZX Spectrum... If the scared ghost is cyan and the maze shows blue with no issue, then what's the point of emulating the scared ghosts as cyan and Inky as green?
@milkplaysgames693 ай бұрын
