Quick question, why is the audio for the gameplay footage low quality?

I use video capture device to record the footage and OBS on my macbook. But the audio doesnt take it from the game rather it takes it from the room. (I.E. I cant talk during my recordings because that audio will also be captured too). I dont know how to overcome this problem atm due to my poor understanding of technology
