One thing I like in this version is that the Rev Roll doesn't fully charge instantly. Pac Man visually shows how far he's going to go when you hold the button for longer.

People bash the music for the compression and I understand that but you need to A) this is the GBA we are talking about here B) the limited cartridge space available to the devs and lastly C) the likely vary short development window the devs had to port this. *Personally I Love The Hell Out Of The Compressed Music, * *It Reminds Me Of A Simpler Time That We Didn't Have Access To Cheap HDD's To Store GB's Of Uncompressed Music.*

For me it was literally fun, though I had some parts of the game really hard to beat, like the Tree level.

@@IvanFranco120, it is fun in the way when basic platforming feels like heroic achievement. Like Garfield: Search for Pooki way of fun, when you want to destroy the cartridge, then you return next day, and continue your efforts.

Say what you want about 100ing PMW2, but if completing the console/PC version of this (hella) underrated gem really is the worst way of playing it (I mean, then again, I don’t always play it as a completionist, I just do it because the game itself is one hell of a blast for its cartoonish/frantic yet very cute atmosphere), then there’s no way 100%ing the handheld Pac-Man World trilogy could possibly be any better.

I'll give credit where credit is due: At the very least, this game tried to be different from its Gen. 6 origin game. That way, it wasn't trying to be a game it couldn't through hardware aspects a GBA can't replicate. I will say a huge part it could've had is the music. The way it is, the music hogs up so much of the memory because its using a CPU made for sequenced audio trying to copy what streamed songs had done on the stronger consoles. Who knows? Maybe it could've made for better level mechanics.

My brutal opinion on this game on GBA version Those sprites and graphic look promising and good. But my main complain about the audio. Like holy shrimp, man. Music sound weak due those GBA version of soundtrack had a mixed up wrong music due whole time it always play ocean level music, blue ghost boss music for every single bosses and I don't like how it also played Whale boss music for Spooky on this version. This is exactly why I glad that I grew up original GameCube back in my 2004/2007 elementary school era

The game itself could've used a bit of tightening up but Holy fuck it takes just a bit more time to make midis of a few of the songs and less CPU cycles than decompressing an MP3 or whatever the fuck this is on the fly

at least it's a little better than the first pac man world on gba, impressive how they did the music compression technique, but it's better to have original songs, the gameplay too, after all the gba cartridge memory is half the n64's memory , 32MB.

Because they can't handle the original console version. It could be still done with World 1 since it's a PS1 game (and already with 1 there are a lot of cut features). Of course there's no way a GBA can handle a GameCube's exact same game, with or without downgrades, but people still wanna play (or companies still wanna produce) those games on handhelds
