This is one of the first games I ever owned as a kid and to this day is one of my favorite 3D platformers. So underrated and has a CRIMINALLY underrated soundtrack. So good!!! Glad this gem is getting some love here!

Pacman world 2 is such hidden gem of a platformer and it’s soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal! I’m glad you got to experience just a bit of it!

Just came from GaMetal's cover then this? What a treat! I never ever thought I would see Pac-Man World 2 on Jesse's channel lol. I mean seriously, PMW2's entire OST is incredible and one of the most criminally underrated video game OSTs out there. The thing with this OST is that it really sticks in your head and is very nostalgic. Most who played this on their childhood still fondly remembers the music up until their adulthood. Believe it or not, this was the first OST that made me love VGM which was then followed by FF which elevated my love for VGM to the next level. PMW2 is a 3D platforming game and a really challenging one. About the setting of this boss battle, Spooky wreaks havoc of Pac-Man's hometown, Pac Village, in a very similar way Sephiroth wreaks havoc of Midgar at the end of FFVII Remake where you're fighting on floating debris. The one you listened to are actually 2 separate tracks. The first one is "Spooky" followed by "Near Triumph" (on 5:50) which plays if you're close to defeating Spooky and he starts to get more aggressive with his attacks. I don't know if it was intentional, but Near Triumph almost sounds like the Castle Theme from Super Mario Bros. or perhaps it was a lowkey homage to it. The classic Pac-Man theme plays at the very end when you finish the game. There are a lot of other great tracks in the game such as Menu, B-Doing Woods, Inky's Blade O Matic, Blade Mountain, Pinky's Revenge, Clyde in the Caldera, and Scuba Duba among many others. An interesting fact about the OST is that typically each area/terrain is associated with a motif which has a different arrangement per level and the last level per area is a boss battle with one of the four ghosts with an evil/chaotic version of the motif of that area. Every single track perfectly captures the atmosphere of the level or boss that you're fighting. The entire OST is just masterfully done and sounds way more EPIC than they should be. I hope to see more PMW2 on your channel for more people to realize how wonderful the OST is.

I remember getting this game in a case that had pac man world 2 and pac man vs where you could play with 4 people, 3 of which played as the ghosts and the other played as pac man and 3 used gameboy advances and could see the whole screen while pacman only used the gamecube controller and had limited vision in the map. Great times really

Someone needs to recommend Clyde in the Caldera to you. That's the best track in this game in my opinion.

For a Game made by a Namco Company in the US, they fucked up the names of 2 ghosts and switched the Red and Orange ghosts. Red is Blinky and Orange is Clyde

My first thought is that this gives me some Grant Kirkhope vibes. I'm not sure if this is the game I'm thinking of but back in the day on the old PS1 demo disks, there was one game I thought I recalled as being Pacman 3D or something, could have been called Pacman World I suppose. Either way, this is pretty neat
