The EPA has done more damage to trucks and trucking and truckers than all other things combined; and I have been in it since 88 , owned 3 , now working by the hour hauling the mail. God bless you and your family driver.

@@raynieto123 I love been randomly losing boost for the last year. Usually only for a minute or two at a time, but it's lasted 50 miles before. Never had a code related to anything boost related until tonight. SPN 649 FMI 12. Same as you in this video. I was wondering if you had to have it programmed or was it pretty much swap and go?
@raynieto1232 жыл бұрын
@@brandong2953 ya it needed to be calibrated once installed. I had my mechanic do it for me in San Antonio

@@raynieto123 that's what I figured. I haven't found one with the Davie 4 software yet. Thank you for the reply!

Joe McQueen thank you. I don’t have much content. But I’m glad this video helped you. Unfortunately the part is around $900. And does need to be calibrated.

Changing that BPV will be a big PITA and will most likely need updated coolant lines, but no programming.
@j.mooreel734 жыл бұрын
Great advice brother it worked for me but I have question when you say it has to be calibrated does that mean it's not a do it yourself job?
@rivercross13 жыл бұрын
Yes that cylinder can be changed by yourself, but it does have a calibration/initialization process that can quickly be done.
@raynieto1233 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jesse. Yeah mine needed to be calibrated.

Did this also affect your jake brake performance?

Hey so the butterfly valve is supposed to to be in the close position so u can get boost when your accelerating up hill. When you would press the accelerator would it feel as if it slips out and just revs up ??
@raynieto1239 ай бұрын
Yes as long as the valve is in the closed position you can boost up to accelerate. As the valve opens it is dumping all your turbo boost out the exhaust rendering it useless. The bpv is really the same thing as an older style turbos waste gate. Meant to dump excess boost pressure to protect the turbo. If I am wrong on that analogy may someone else here can clarify.

Hello Friends, I have a daf model 2020 mx13 engine, engine retard. Why does this engine damage the valve stem, and I have seen several cases that their valve stem also breaks quickly, and this is a weakness for this engine. Is this weakness due to the construction of this engine or is there a reason that causes this problem, please guide me, this is a problem. The second question is what type of oil is suitable for this engine. Thanks
