Hey Dimitri, can you list the top 10 quantitative finance/financial engineering programs in the US according to you? Would really appreciate that.

I would however it's challenging to recommend programs because they change over time and I don't have a lot of inside information on each program. I would encourage you to watch my video on "Real vs Fake Financial Engineering Degrees" as it will give you ideas of what to look for in a program. A few programs that have been top rated over the years include Columbia, NYU, Baruch, and CMU. Other schools to consider off the top of my head would be Michigan, Minnesota, and John Hopkins. I personally think more rigorous and math driven programs provide students with more marketable skills if you do want to work in quantitative finance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5vbaJloo5mYi7M

Could you also suggest backup/safe programs if these are realistic? Been having some trouble finding backup universities for financial engineering/quantitative finance.

For back up schools I would look for programs in the math, stats, and engineering departments of state schools. They usually have good education but lack the career resources. I did a review on Michigan's program that you might find helpful. Since it hasn't been listed online in the past a lot of students don't apply here, making it a good back up school. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWLEoIxmfa6Ch5Y

Hey Dimiti, I am a big fan of your youtube work!. I wanted to know if you have an opinion on C++ for Financial Engineers online course by Quantnet.com. Do you think it would be a significant achievement if you have it on your CV?

I believe it was meant to show you had programming experience so you could apply to MFE programs like Baruch. If you don't have programming experience it could add value however getting a Masters or PhD would be a better option for quant finance as they are required and should teach programming. If you are wanting to be a programmer and not a quant in quantitative finance, it would help there.
