Pachelbel Canon (with Penguins)

I have vivid memories of this as a teenager back in late 80s on channel 4.I sat there with tears running down my cheeks. Canon in D major brings happy memories and also sad memories because it was also part of the soundtrack to 'Ordinary People ' which in many ways reminds me of my late teens too. I never thought I'd see this again so thanks for posting!

When UK's Channel 4 used to show Art of Landscape films throughout the morning, this film was SO popular that they used to announce at the start of the morning when it was going to be shown!

I remember watching this when I was a little kid haha I think it was one of the first things I ever watched on TV. What an interesting memory. I only recall canon in D and some penguins at a sunset but I guess that’s enough to find this video.

I was just watching "Unwind with ITV" (4am to 5am) and it reminded me of this, so I searched online and here it is ! I used to watch this "Art of Landscape" series every morning on Channel 4 back in 1989. It was phenomenal and so fulfilling ro watch, especially this one with Pachelbel's "Canon". I recorded it on VCR and continued to watch it long after Channel 4 replaced it with "The Big Breakfast". Thanks eo much for rekindling my youth ❤❤❤

I used to work as a doorman in a nightclub. Getting home at gone 3am I'd turn on the Landscape channel just to listen to this ..... Having your brain rocked by flashing lights & house music it was a delight to sit with a cuppa and just chill to this

This video from the 80's Landscape Channel is one of my favourite ever things in life, it melts the heart. There aren't many combinations of beautiful things, but this is certainly one of them. Incidentally, I heard this on Classic FM the other day played allegro (not sure who by), it really doesn't work as a fast piece, this is a perfect tempo

I remember Art of Landscape being on when I got up super-early as a little kid. I was frustrated as I had to wait for it to finish before the cartoons I liked would come on! As a teenager though, I began to appreciate this kind of thing more through the Landscape Channel, and this penguin video has always been one of my favourites.

Sadly I think it was probably edited using VHS - that being said I'm sure an aspiring editor could cut up all of Attenborough's works with penguins and achieve similar results with HD or better picture.

@@UncleBooBoo I was the webdesigner not a professional logo maker, I was probably the only one with a graphics package on my PC so I was given with the task! Very fond memories, still in touch with many of my Landscape 'family'. it was great fun.
