67 people disliked this because they're deaf and the batteries for their hearing aids ran out so couldnt enjoy the completely beautiful piece of music this is.. Move to England please Mike and teach me please! I love every single song you've posted and this was the piece of music that brought me so close to musical beauty. So awesome to see a genius in my own lifetime!

My husband just died at the age of 55 and I am struggling. HE played piano just like this. His music talent was phenomenal. THANK YOU for sharing. This is the song I walked down the aisle to marry him long ago.

I normally don't comment on these but I just wanted to personally thank you for creating and doing this piece of music. I think that this piano version of Pachelbel's Canon in D expresses feelings and emotions, turning them into sounds like no other, is by far the best version I've heard of. So thanks again. Pachelbel himself would be astonished I'm sure. Love the music.

I am sure for few things. And one of them is this; Music is full of gold. A type of gold that cannot be seen or be explained by words. It has to do only with our heart. A person that doesn't like (real) music can't feel real happiness. We need more music like this one...

Im just amazed at his fingering, too smooth, and the clarity of his notes wow. I havent even started on the song yet... This is definitely the best improvised canon on youtube.

Mike is the best Pianist that I have ever seen,and has inspired me a lot on learning to play the piano myself. You can tell he has a great deal of love for the piano and the music. This is my favorite version of canon in D that I have ever heard. I just love it !!! Keep Up The GREAT Work Mike.

I love the sheet music lying around, the generally informal atmosphere, and the way he looks really happy and comfortable just going with the flow of the music. This is much better than the concert videos, nice one!

He is one of the best example of a true pianist, he has his own style of playing it and he is not depending on a piece of sheet but on his heart on how he will play it,, good and smart... IDOL!

Mike, Thanks so much for Doing this! I have listened to this song at least 500 times. I bought the Sheet music from you, had it Transcribed, and am currently on page 3. Cant wait to re post this one for you! You are my Inspiration, Thank you.
@mikestrickland17 жыл бұрын
Yes - you are right - I should have explained better. Mike plays this piece differently every time he sits down at the piano. However one arrangement does exist because we had so many calls for it that we had it transcribed from the original recording which appears on his CD called "The Piano". You can get the DPD of the recording on iTunes or hear a sample on our website. It is a very popular arrangement.

Well done. It was great watching someone get so into the song while playing it. I must say that many people enjoy this song because of its simplicity, but this improvisation is amazing!

I am 6' 2" (1.85m), weigh 18+ stone, am a martial arts instructor, run construction sites and arm wrestle. Your version of canon in d moved me. i think i am now in touch with my feminine side. my mates down the pub will not let me hear the last of it. Your rendition, interpretation and emotional content while performing what could be considered an outdated and certainly overplayed classical piece is truly inspirational, fresh and invigorating. brilliant and thank you. do you have any more?
