Yes, Sunja is the love of his life, he’s only ever loved her ( both book and tv show). Deep down Sunja feels the same way or he wouldn’t be able to effect her so much - she will never admit it or take action on it for the rest of her life.

Yoshi works with Solomon, his grandfather had made a deal with Mozasu back in the day. Mozasu isn't looking for anybody, he's looking for information about Kato because he doesn't want his mother in trouble.

He executed American POWs when he was a Japanese soldier after the end of WWII. It was framed as he had no choice ( he obviously would have been shot if he refused) but Sunja still walked away.
