In addition to not having any jump helmet available, they also have the wrong hat. These are Imperial Japanese NAVY paratroopers, but they have an Imperial Japanese ARMY hat. The yellow star was the Army’s emblem, it should have the Navy’s anchor emblem instead.

Just in case, someone who dont know, 2nd Parachute Chasseur Regiment is french paratrooper train by Bri ish in ww2, they deploy in Tunisia, we probably see Tunisia French paratrooper vs Italian paratrooper. For British Paratrooper, they will in Normandy or Tunisia
