I could feel the respect/reverence Derek holds for Prados in this video. Even in its moderately tattered and unclean state - I believe our man in Japan saw through that - and was witnessing … a gem. Huzzah!

My dad has owned our prado for over ~21 years now. Although not driven much (like only 109KMs) very pleasant car to drive still. Spec: 5 door TZ, 1KZ TDi

2 door versión of Prados was produced until the 150 series (155 series for 3door, 2010-2023)

I believe the short wheelbase config was available with every generation up to and including 150 series

We have these in Europe as well, they hold their value exceptionally well, even high mileage examples are quite expensive. One thing I never understood though is why weren't these rear backup mirrors ever offered on the European models. I mean we often have to deal with small and narrow parking spaces too, and it's very challenging especially in a big car like this. It would have been a useful feature, but it was never even an option
