Honestly you have to intentionally date, it doesn’t “just happen” usually. I’ve never had a romantic relationship form randomly with someone I met. Each time I was in a new relationship it happened because I decided to set up a dating profile with the mindset of “I’m ready to be in a relationship. I should try to meet someone new and see where it goes.” Now I’ve been with my soulmate for 2 years and we’re moving in together. I went through a couple tough relationships before this one, but I don’t regret anything because it helped me grow as a person and understand what I want and deserve from my partner. Good luck!

I have to add that I’m also too shy to admit to a guy that I have a crush on him or ask him on a date. Bumble took that out of the equation because both of us swiped right.

I'd say the opposite. The whole dating shtick seems so unneccessary. Sure, maybe that's what you enjoy, then go for it. But to me it often seems so desperate. There is nothing wrong with being and staying single after all. All relationships I had happened "on the side", I have been meeting and working/interacting with the people for other reasons, on a common goal, before we got closer to each other. Yes, those were few relationships, but all the more intense for that. And, to say it again, it does not bother me not to be in a relationship for most of the time.

Oh btw I had it happen once that the person only feigned interest (in the subjects and issues important to me) and all they wanted actually was a fling. I did not take that very well once I figured it out. On the other hand, I was biting myself for being blind to it for so long, it should have been rather obvious.

@@silkwesir1444 I stayed single for a long time and definitely liked being single, but after dating I also realized I enjoy companionship. I would still take breaks of just being alone and enjoying life but I love having a significant other to share my life with. My partner is my best friend. He’s the first person I want to talk to every day and any time I get good news or bad news, I can’t wait to share it with him. Finding the right person is 100% worth it. I never would have met him if I hadn’t decided to branch out.

I totally get that with wanting to stay in your home state. I live in the Midwest as well and while I love to go different places, I feel most comfortable being near family. Central Illinois will always be "home". 🙂 Hope your trip was fun!

If I may expand on the “living in Iowa forever” question, some people leave their home state after high school and never look back. And some come back to their home state. It depends on the person.

I’d be so interested to hear what your perspective is on putting kids online, as current content creators, and past child content creators I’m curious what you think you might do if you were a parent with your same online presence?

Hi megan and ciera! I know you guys like reading books and watching movies/show, but do you guys watch anime? If you ever want to try a new movie, I recommend watching YOUR NAME (unless ofc disregard this if you have already seen it.) It's a highly rated anime movie so I think it's not just me who thinks it's good. Just try it out. Don't watch reviews/spoilers if you intend to watch it. Anw, more power to you guys and take care!

I like to read books but can never find the right book to read. Even if I do find a good book it still feels hard for me to finish it and sometimes it will take me like 6 months to finish a book. Have any sugguestions for me? The only books I have been able to read in a month or less is Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I don't know why but I want to read more books other than that. I am 18 not an adult yet in the state of Nebraska but I have been trying to find books online for free or go and find a book but can never find a good book.

Glad to hear y’all are settling into your jobs! It’s always tough with that first real “big kid” job figuring out where you fit in. ❤ Dating life is hard, my best tip is to try and go out and meet people, even just with the goal of making friends - you never know what friend might know your next potential match! It is definitely harder once you’re out in the “real world” as you do need to be more intentional about that, where in high school and college you had more forced interactions allowing for friendships to form. Maybe mix it up with trivia night if there’s people y’all’s age? Chat with the tables near you about the last round or something like that. Wishing you all the luck, but it will all come at the right time I’m sure! 🫶🏼
