I’ve done a couple shows and the best tips I have are to always have facials, directors love it when you always have a face on. another tip is to just try your hardest because if they see you working hard you’ll be able to get better roles if you want! that’s what happened to me:) lastly I’d say just go all out and the show needs everyone to make it happen because it’s not just the leads that do the work, everyone puts in effort. so yah that’s all I have to say and good luck!! theatre is the best thing to happen to me so I’m sure you’ll love it 💗

@@lagucci14 hiya! i tend to yap so i’ll try to make this as simple as i can. 1.) make bold choices/be yourself : wether it’s an audition, play, musical being you is what matters. directors look for bold choices that make you stand out confidence, projection, quick change in emotions. if you show you want it you can get it. make those intuition choices! 2.) work hard : now theatre is so so fun, but also it is a lot but takes a lot of work. you got casted for a reason because you owned that character. make sure you always work as hard you did for the audition. directors don’t always look how hard you work, rather your dedication. the more you audition and get casted more experience you build. giving you greater chances at roles. (however this doesn’t always happen.) 3.) taking care of yourself and your voice : theatre is so so fun, but also it can be a lot and i mean a lot. always take care of yourself and your voice. with musicals don’t use your voice unless you have too, i personally drink apple cider vinegar and honey shots every 3 days. it’s gross but helps! i don’t like tea but tea helps a lot, definitely the best choice. these will give your voice a holdover especially during the winter. as taking care of yourself, rest and think positive. a lot of us get tired during rehearsals so don’t push yourself if you need a break let someone know. you matter most!!
