Starting college is a major life change, and Mama Laeno’s words, "things would never be the same," really hit home for me because she’s absolutely right. Every first-year student faces the challenges of adapting to a new life and the uncertainty of what the future holds. From personal experience, I can confidently say that the transition from high school to college was anything but easy. My emotions were all over the place, and I constantly felt like I couldn’t catch a break. I put immense pressure on myself to perfect everything about this new life in just a few months, but I soon realized that’s not how it works. I learned that I needed to take things at my own pace. Yes, life has changed forever, but that doesn’t mean I had to change myself overnight to fit into this new world. I needed to take it one day at a time and trust that everything would eventually fall into place. University life is an entirely new journey filled with fresh adventures, experiences, and challenges. To all the new freshmen, I can say, from the perspective of a second-year student, that everything will be okay. I won’t sugarcoat it-things won’t always be easy. But I can promise you that it does get easier with time as you adjust to your new reality. My hope for you is that you embrace and enjoy this new journey, one that has been a long-held dream for many of you. Good luck, and I wish you all the best in the semester ahead!

my dad and I had a full meltdown when he dropped me off at college. I was moving 3 states away. I'll be honest, it was really rough for me. I had gone through a number of traumatic events before leaving for school, and I just wasn't ready to leave home. I wound up leaving in the middle of the semester, and moved back home. I started over at a community college, which I loved! I had the best time there! I hope you have an amazing time at college!!

I hope you’re doing better. I’m a rising sophomore. I go to school in NYC and don’t dorm because of money and the city is legit your campus, but sometimes I look back and just think about how different my life would be if I took a leap and did dorm. I do think of transferring sometimes. I guess it’s nice to hear someone enjoyed cc considering the stigma and lack of social life compared to dorming. Def a financially safer path!

Something I have learned from college move in is that you should keep all your clotheon your hangers and put then in a trash bag with their hangers and loop the handles of the bag on the hook. It really helps with moving a larger quantity in a quicker amount of time.

I also graduated this year and I decided not to go to college, and sometimes I feel sad about my decision but other times I am happy about it. Seeing you do things for college makes me regret my decision, but I know that the decision I made was for a reason and well I know life will take me where ever and it will be good and I am grateful to be watching your videos because that way I can see how college life is like and not feel too bad about my decision.

a u can always bring clothes back during the breaks to not stress and invest in some vacuum sealed bags for clothes and other things to save space so u can bring more! :) everyone overpacks their first year of college so dont worry its better to be safe than sorry
