After further investigation, I was mislead to believe that fires were allowed in Sundown National Park. Fires are indeed banned in all areas except for designated fire places.

Can you let me know where you started and where you finished? Keen to give it a go
@AaronGrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
We started at Nundubbermere and ended at Broadwater. Sundown level at Ballandeen was about 0.75m. I hope that helps.

Hi Aaron, I have pack rafted on some of this river a while ago, a little bit less water on $19 Kmart blow up boats, we walked upstream from the Broadwater campsite for a few hours and camped overnight. We then packrafted downstream the next day, what fun it was until our bodgy cheap boats lost a lot of their air. What brand and type are the pacrkrafts that you used?
@AaronGrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hey! It surely is a great river. We were using alpacka rafts. I was using the classic. Fantastic boats but they aren’t cheap!
@antswildsounds4283 Жыл бұрын
@@AaronGrayOutdoors I will check them out. I don't usually use cheap gear, but it was a bit of a trial to see what pack rafting was like before committing to better gear. Thanks for the reply!

As always good to see you mate. That looked really cool although I was thinking you were going to get hit by a branch or poked in the eye!! Awesome as always bud👍🏾
@AaronGrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Thanks bud. I did get poked in the cheek on the first day. There were quite a few trees to deal with. Glad you enjoyed it, cheers!

Just caught up on this video, what an amazing adventure. How much of this did you shoot with the Sony A7 and did you use to keep it dry/safe from being smashed by rocks? I would be too scared to bring such a camera if there were rapids!
@AaronGrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! Not a lot to be honest, mainly just the camp and break shots were shot on the camera. Both the Sony and the drone were secured in the yellow drybag on the bow. Just shot on the GoPro and iPhone whilst on the river.

Fires in the national park. Mmmmmm. Thats not right.
@debbiehurst7169 Жыл бұрын
Im sorry. You are wrong. You need to look up Parks Qld website. Fires only allowed in firepits only in campgrounds, and no firewood to be collected in a national park.
@AaronGrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@debbiehurst7169 I’ve had a further look into it and you are correct. I was obviously misled by others on this issue. The last thing I want to do is spread misinformation or not obey the rules. Thanks for letting me know. I will update this video with a pinned comment.
