Thanks for the updated packing video. I recently went on a 10 day cruise and applied strategies, tips and tricks that I picked up from you over the years. I packed minimal-ish and packed as if it were a 5-day cruise. It worked out great by taking advantage of the onboard laundry services. Just a little pre-planning to match up the itinerary and expected onboard events really pays off when trying to bring just the right amount. And, I've been using the Baggail packing cubes for about 3 years and they really make the packing and return packing so much easier. Thanks for that product suggestion!

Yay! So happy for you! I've been working on my packing techniques, and really have embraced carry-on only. So.much.better. We can never drive to the port, so it's much easier to not check a bag for a plane. We are going to Florida for a 'lifestyle visit' this July, so maybe in the future, we will be able to drive to ports. ;). .

Fanny pack! I purchased one while on vacation last year because we were going to do an Air Boat Tour and the last thing I wanted was for my purse to go flying around. It worked so well and now I am keeping that fugly fanny pack at the bottom of my always packed carry on back pack because you never know when you need a hands free option while traveling.

I think I've watched all of your pack with me's since I subscribed years ago and I still end up taking notes for something new. This time I'll be getting a new makeup bag I saw on amazon that opens wide vs across. My hope is that I'll be able to leave most of the stuff in there until I need to use it and that will help clear clutter on the vanity. Also looking at getting a light t-shirt weight hoodie for morning breakfasts/airplane ride and was reminded that my mom needs a new beach hat. So you're helpful to old and new fans!

I always pack a set of adapters, cables and a battery pack in my carry-on so if anything happens to my luggage, I don't need to deal with a dead battery and no way to charge.

I took that Bagsmart carry on on my last trip. It’s a great bag. But I had to gate check my Away carry on bag and carry the Bagsmart up 2 flights of steps to board our return flight in Madrid. That Bagsmart bag just holds too much. I’m 76 years old and almost didn’t make it up those steps with that bag. Next trip I am taking my Away everywhere bag or a smallish backpack as my personal item!

FYI Fannie packs are the best. You do not wear around your waist anymore. Wear them like a cross body bag! I love my Stoney Clover Fanny pack. Great quality, cute and fashionable. Have a great cruise. We just got back from a five night to Cabo on The Disney Wonder.

Sounds like you carry-on a rolling bag plus your pink bag. Living in NY, we go out of Cape Liberty a lot. I'd rather give the porters 2 large suitcases and carry a smaller zippered tote. My husband carries a backpack. (When we fly to cruise ports, my carry-on is a backpack as well). Always have swimsuits, coverup and tiny sunscreen in our carry-on. NY is like CA. It can be cold the first few days, but there's always the hot tub in the solarium! Although I love looking at your fashion choices, being 6 ft tall, off the shoulder makes me look like a linebacker! Also, all of my sandals whether day or night, are flat, but still look dressy due to sequins, etc. Since last year, I've become addicted to Thred up, an online thriftshop, where I've found many interesting dresses, and tops for cruising.

Hey!! it’s a great question. I posted a photo on Instagram of my latest embarkation day outfit. Pink pants and a blue off the shoulder top but honestly I usually wear dresses. Sometimes I will wear jeans and a sweater if it’s really cold.

I'm surprised you extolled the virtues of your clear bags and then used opaque bags elsewhere. I bought gallon and quart sized clear ziplok bags. The ones with the wide bottoms. I wish I had thought of it BEFORE i bought small opaque packing cubes. I bought that same bagsmart toiletry bag in clear. LOL I hadn't seen the jewelry holder. I might get one of those for home use. My husband bought a waterproof fanny pack to wear while snorkeling.

A few tips for anyone doing riding excursions from an equestrian: - Closed toe shoes like tennis shoes or boots. Sandals or flats will fall off. - Long pants that flex like leggings, breeches, or jeans. (No shorts or you'll suffer bruises/burns from the leather saddle. I've seen it and it's painful. Takes weeks for it to disappear.) - Close to the body shirt. Loose fitting is tempting but your instructor may have you tuck it in or tie it as loose clothes = spooky horses. - Keep blingy jewelry, loose jewelry, dangly jewelry and stuff on the boat. You would not believe how many times I've seen a horse spook because of a super sparkly, dangly earring set. - Bring a set of sporting gloves if you have them. They can help you keep your grip on the reins. Mine are a mix of suede and fabric and are for equestrians. - Keep your ankles pointed to the ground (toes to the air), legs around the barrel, reins down by the withers, head and eyes looking forward and have a ton of fun! Horses are so much fun.
