I can vouch for the Compass Rose packing cubes. I took them on a 2-week trip to Greece last summer and they compressed my clothes well so that I could bring more. My suitcase felt better organized, as well. Finally, how satisfying is it to open up your suitcase and see the cube filing system within!?!!!

Great little bags. Another option to consider is to pack one outfit per bag so you could grab one bag per day of your trip and have all you need to get dressed instead of opening every bag every day.

Is it only me who noticed when clothes become already dirty, it’s kinda hard to put them back the way you pack them? It seems like they expand and you can no longer store them as neatly & organized as you did when you first pack them.... Everybody make a video on how to pack in a carry all for a vacation.... but not how to pack your carry all AFTER your vacation or your flight back home (with dirty clothes, items or souvenir you bought during your vacation, etc)... And then show the Before and After video....

You should check out Kipling bags. They are way better than Bagellinis. Lighter, machine washable and nicer material. They have everything from suitcases to coin purses and everything in between. I jabe been using them for last twenty years. Someone gifted me a bagellini and after using it a while I donated it and bought my friend a Kipling. She is now totally converted.

Wondering if these would work for me. I just returned from a 4 day, 3 night road-trip wellness retreat. I took 4 pr comfy lounge pants, 4 tshirts, 1 bra, 5 pr panties, 4 pr sox, & slide sandals. (I wore one of these outfits for travel so it wasn’t packed.) For PJs my t shirts and lightweight pants did double duty, & I took 1 pr warm sleep sox. I took a travel size hair dryer, Flat iron, travel size shampoo & hair styling products, turbie towel, wet comb, wire pick, rat tail brush, travel size hairbrush, hand mirror, hair clips & stretchy headband. I took less makeup than you took, travel size facial and body care products, makeup remover towelettes, toothpaste & tooth brush. Bandaids, neosporin, ibuprofen, eye drops.

Have you (or anyone else reading this who wears makeup) ever had any issues with the TSA and your makeup? I don't travel very often, but the last time I looked on their website, things like liquid foundation, mascara, etc are supposed to be included in your liquids bag so I always pack them that way instead of in a makeup bag. I'm always struggling to stay under the quart size limit.

The problem with how much you can put into a carry on is the weight. It's easy to get a lot of stuff in the bag but you have to meet the weight requirement. Packing cubes are great but you can get so much into them.
@TheOrganizedSoprano5 жыл бұрын
It does allow for some luggage density! I don't think I've ever exceeded more than 38 lbs for a checked bag though. Carry-ons for me are usually around 20-25 lbs max.

Depends on the airline too. For a lot of airlines the weight restrictions for carry-ons is you just have to be able to lift it into the overhead bin yourself

I get so sad when I drop my little Pixie off at the vet (for boarding) when I go on a trip. Thank goodness they have a web cam so I can watch her while I'm away! Also, the last time I went away I not only made a list of clothes, I made the list organized by day AND included photos!! I'm betting packing size 2 clothes is a lot easier than packing my size clothes! Packing cubes are the best thing ever -- especially my compression cubes! You can fit so much in them!

Here is a concern, suitcases / bags; can get wet, which means all clothes inside get soaked. This happened to me with a downpour of rain in Florida one time. How would YOU deal with ensuring contents are dry in this type of situation. My end I had to connect with someone whom could assist and had all the contents and what I was wearing dried in their dryer. From there on I used plastic big bags in my bags to ensure all was dry. I also used ziplock bags from then on..Any suggestions your end?

When Siri randomly starts talking to you... 🙄 It's like, I wasn't talking to you...why were you listening!? I also never understood the "dirty laundry bag" concept. If you only pack what you intend to wear, you would be bringing back all dirty clothes or just wash everything. So, your entire bag would be "dirty clothes" or they would be clean again from you washing them...right?
@MsSonali19805 жыл бұрын
And where do you store the dirty laundry in the meantime? When I travel (sadly very very seldom) I live out of the suitcase, so, I prefer a separate laundry bag. Omg, I remembered the last time I "travelled" I was in the hospital -_- and this was a year ago.
@TheOrganizedSoprano5 жыл бұрын
I’ve found it to be pretty useful. There’s something weird about storing my dirty clothes with clean clothes. I usually just hang their bag on a doorknob and I don’t wash them, they are still separated from the clean stuff!

Also...Siri is super creepy sometimes. What was extra creepy is it was the Siri in the watch.
