1.2M is huge. Congrats Andy and the Pack-a-day team. Very excited for Cooper to play next to Quay. The middle is looking so much stronger after this draft. Can’t wait for Sunday’s!

If Cooper turns out to be anywhere close to what you have noted. Then I will be very excited for our defense.

Wayne Simmons was my single favorite player from the 90s Packers of my childhood. An enforcer and an ass kicker. Can’t remember them having another linebacker like that since him. Sure would be great to see some measured intensity in the middle of their defense for the first time in literally 30 years!

Your welcome and you earned it, great job on the pod cast. Alex will not make the team as a WR but hey, that time in camp as a wr and a qb has to help his profile as a coach and player.

I'm sure Alex is just trying to stay in the NFL as long as possible to get vested as much as possible. It makes sense because I'm sure it pays a lot better than those other leagues.

The hair-on-fire play Hafley advocates from the front line along with blitzes from Quay and Edgerrin helps allay the concerns I have about the CB depth.

Edgerrin Cooper is a long, rangy linebacker with excellent speed and coverage ability. Against the pass, he is very smooth in his drops, playing with vision and awareness. Edgerrin Cooper is very comfortable in man coverage and has plenty of speed to carry tight ends up the seam. Edgerrin Cooper is an explosive blitzer and has shown the ability to separate the quarterback from the ball. Against the run, Edgerrin Cooper is quick to fill in the hole and displays stopping power as a tackler. Edgerrin Cooper will have some fly-by missed tackles when in lateral pursuit. Overall, Edgerrin Cooper is an instinctive and explosive NFL prospect who generates a bunch of splash plays. He’s ready to start right away, and I believe his best football is still ahead of him. Edgerrin Cooper’s long and he’s fast. Brian Gutekunst does such a great job of targeting these players that can really run. Edgerrin Cooper loves football. He plays aggressively. He’s a young kid still growing into his frame. He’s aggressive. He covers ground. He plays the right away. He just has big upside. He can play the 2nd level and pressure the quarterback up the middle, just a really excited athlete, and you can feel Edgerrin Cooper’s acceleration. Edgerrin Cooper’s a highly physical linebacker with elite top-end speed and a burning desire to get to the football that can lead to some inconsistencies in his play. Edgerrin Cooper is average at diagnosing the run but he takes off around traffic on a mission to find the ball-carrier once he sees it. Edgerrin Cooper can be undisciplined playing his run fits and takes unorthodox paths downhill, but he somehow finds ways to slither around blocks and make challenging tackles. Edgerrin Cooper is a punishing hitter/tackler from any spot on the field, but he’s going to overshoot the mark from time to time due to his lack of control in pursuit. Edgerrin Cooper’s a capable quarterback spy, he can blitz the pocket and he will be an instant hit on special teams, but teams will need to balance the inconsistencies with the passionate run-and-hit mentality. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

In theory that capability would be cool. But McGough isn't going to crack this receiver corps. I doubt he will even make the PS. Maybe, maybe he could beat out Toure or Dubose for a PS spot, but even that seems doubtful.

If he takes 2 being coach up he will soar Pro Bowl easily. Probably 2yrs away closing down the learning curve gap basically is his main barricade. Elite traits and hungry like the wolf ambition wham O presto world ur oyster.

Understanding the theory behind our new defense, and combining that with our draft strategy, Cooper is an ideal pick. We're looking to attack offenses and speed them up to put pressure on QBs, plus be able to have the advantage in 1 on 1 matchups in the open field if the ball gets beyond the LOS. Attacking defense. And to do that you need not just athletes with speed, but players that can trade off roles in the middle of the field, top of the box. Versatility to switch assignments, and make pre snap moves without showing your hand. Be flexible with LB safety and slot without getting exploited by physical mismatches. That concept leads to faster, lighter LBs, and special talent in the slot/SS spot. Cooper fits into that so perfectly, as does Evan Williams. And of course Nixon and Mckinney will be the heart and soul in that regard. Mckinney especially, buckle up because he got paid for a reason. He'll be in the mix for All Pro this year if things go according to plan.
