I was absolutely stunned At the prices For those sheets those are higher than target But the quill you got was absolutely beautiful

I noticed sometimes people on “ market place “ areas online, will have , for instance a piece of furniture that is “ antique “ (old), And they advertise, then ask a hefty price, then in description “ drawers don’t work, needs TLC,” etc. I walk away thinking the same as Jeffrey “ I don’t know “ I just don’t know about that. He is very disciplined to not use critical or judge pricing and I adore that about him. Very fun to come along on these trips

Dude, I do the SAME thing at estate sales with kitchen supplies. You can't beat their prices. And 35 for those sheets and 80n for others?! That's crazy. They ain't a retail store. I'd TOTALLY buy the marble ladder just for the heck of it. your gaslit comment made me Crack up... lol
@kayapostolas3387 Жыл бұрын
The price on quilt was great! In last week here in Colorado I’ve seen ones that I consider scrap quilts for $125. I would have scooped those up. I like collecting quilts

I know estate sale prices are generally more than garage sales but some of those were crazy high. That narrative on the marble thing was funny. You always make me smile. Enjoy your weekend.

A lot of times estate sales will discount on the second day, and even more on the third day. It might be worthwhile to go back to the first house the next day.

I think the estate sellers are a big company that buys in bulk and brings items from other places, not from former owner of that house. Anyone agree???

My moms estate auction is Tuesday. She collected cut crystal and milk glass. Probably over 400 pieces of glass. Selling as whole box lots because there is so much, and we don't want the auction to take more than a couple hours. But indiana is a long way from Florida.

I got the impression that the first estate sale was run by a company that was clearing out several estates in one location. There's no way all that stuff came from one house, when there's probably no basement there in Florida either.

The Swiffer things were a steal, they're usually so expensive. Childhood memory right by the pencil tins you picked up - there was a box of CrayPas(combination crayon/pastels). My grandmother got me a set when I was little. Yes, that was a pipe holder near the end. My dad had a similar one. Happy picking ‼

Thanks for calling out prices as you looked! I watch, partly, to be able to make better judgments on prices, so it really helps when you give prices not only on what you buy but at what you just look at too. The condition of the linens in that first sale was amazing! Too bad the prices weren't at least a little more competitive! The items with lower prices were probably leftovers from another sale and they didn't bother to re-up the prices! Love your vids and vlogs❤❤❤!

100%! It's frustrating to watch other videos where they just show things. I can see "things" almost anywhere. It's so much more helpful to know what they're asking and it helps when he comments on whether it's reasonable and what he can probably get for it. I got the book and he has so much knowledge that I love hearing him explain things and what they are.

Hi Jeffrey, If you come across a vintage, Adirondack or Adirondack Park felt pennant like that again, try picking one up. I live about twenty minutes by car from there. I'd love to purchase something like that. The Montgomery Ward building is located near Albany, New York. New York State gov't now has office spaces in there. It's pretty cool inside. If you like Art Deco, you'd probably like some of the older buildings in New York City, like the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building.

I'm always so excited when I see a new posting from you. I never see estate sales like you have. You're so fun to watch and listen to your great sense of humor. The prices at these sales for the most part were a bit high, but is that usually how they do it? They are high on first day and then drop to half on later days? That way they can squeeze as much as they can from the sale. I wish they knew their customers a little better on this one though because they should gear their prices to both collectors as well as resellers. Thanks for taking us along!

Weird pricing. Thanks for bringing us along ... fun to watch. Nice job picking up essentials...a great bargain. I do love the blue deco vase, nice score! Was the desert sands ball filled with actual sand making a landscape design? I think the dogs were Collies (think Lassie). I just watched the Vintage Bomshell's newest post and the contents sale was an Alladin's cave of treasures; there were litho prints and I thought of you and your info over the years; one R. A. Fox print was huge and so vibrant. I now know what you mean about fading; they are beautiful faded but amazing in a truly preserved state.
