Mike, I am confused about the DSX-CHA804 Channel Adapter vs the DSX-PC6A Patch Cord Adapter. I thought you said that we would use the Channel Adapter to include patch cords that will stay in-place (such as connecting a server or PC). But then, at minute 36, you showed that the Channel Adapter would not work for a MPTL test. I thought an MPTL test was what you would be doing to test from a server patch cord to a remote wiring closet patch panel. Can you elaborate or clarify? I now do not understand where/when we would use a Channel Adapter. Thank you - these videos are great.

Hi, I have never used on f these before and was wondering if i can test Cat6 Cabling that will be used for External CCTV Cam's, these cams will be POE, and I would like to test there all ok, before cams are fitted- Test Pairs/ Cable Distance etc... thanks in advance

Good day, I would like to find out some information please. Is it possible to create a test for a CAT5e cable but use CAT8 permanent link and channel adapters.

Yes it is. The Cat8 adapters are backwards compatible. You can test Cat3 all the way through Cat8.
