You are definitely that guy that dgaf about shtting on products. Thats why I like you best. I like Morgan too bc he gets the stuff that nobody is enthusiastic about. I use the 23L version and I absolutely love it. It cost me $35 CAD, and is infinitely more comfortable than the pack it replaced, and the perfect size for my use. I find it great as a "personal item" (even if it's technically a bit large, it seems to pass, and fits nicely under the seat of any plane). I one bag with it and for the price, there's just nothing anywhere close.
@ebermtheburn11 ай бұрын
Did it fit with Ryanair or Wizz air? I hear they are the most strict.
@Green__one11 ай бұрын
@@ebermtheburn my situation is somewhat unique. I fly on full service airlines and work issues me a full-size carry-on of company gear that I bring with me. I then have the backpack of personal gear. Full service airlines don't tend to measure as long as things look the part. Technically the carry-on I am carrying is exempt, and therefore my personal gear only really needs to fit carry on size, however it is infinitely easier if I don't have to explain that to each gate agent, so as long as my personal gear looks the part of a personal item I can avoid a lot of questions. All that to say, if you are flying on a budget airline, especially one of the overzealous ones, the 23 l version may be problematic, however you'll probably get away with it fine on most full service airlines. As I've never been questioned, and never been made to measure it.

Do ryanair and wizz air accept it as under the seat size bag?
@Green__one Жыл бұрын
A couple quick points you brought up: - The phone pocket is indeed pretty small, I use it for my sunglasses though, and it works great for that. - chest strap, indeed I find it doesn't quite stay put. - padding: that missing bit of foam in the middle is intentional to leave room for your spine, and for airflow, I certainly wouldn't want them to put any foam there. - quick access pocket: I find it the perfect size to fit everything I need access to on the plane, battery pack, charge cord, ear buds, blindfold. I love this pack, though I use the 23L version so there are some minor differences, I don't have the top front pocket, or the hip strap, but otherwise it's the same thing just smaller.

Hey, thanks for sharing this as I'm debating between the 23L and the 32L. Honestly the main thing holding me back from the 23L is the size of the water bottle pockets as I have a fairly fat (though not excessively tall) 32oz/1L water bottle. I saw that technically only the 32L is meant to carry that size. Would you happen to have tried a fairly fat bottle in the 23L pockets?
@Green__one Жыл бұрын
@@amanda-hibiscus if you're thinking something along the size of a 1L nalgene, there's no way to put that in the 23 l side pockets. I find I can put a 17 oz bottle in each side.

@@amanda-hibiscusn’t you have a Decathlon shop near you? You can try that in person so you can be sure. I’ve seen them on the shop and the 23 l keep shape and look a lot better. Quechua in the UK is available at a place called Decathlon. (Dont know if they have those shops in the US) Ive a roll top Quechua bag, a 5.11 Rush12 V2, Osprey Europe Talon, Helikon Bergen and a load if smaller Jan Sport type back packs. The Quechua beats all of them for comfort, price, weight and organisation festures.. it only really loses in durability compared ti the more rugged type from Osprey, Helikon, 5.11. Decent bags IME.

@@TheEverydayManChannel sure. My decathlon is Hiking backpack 23L - NH Escape 500 Rolltop in Grey. I love it and carry it regularly when I need to take more than daily stuff. On a day to day I carry a folding foam sit pad, that slots in laptop compartment. A 1x1mtr square of oil cloth to put on the ground to put bags down. Swiss army tool, battery bank, hiking pole, 10ft of paracord in a Hank, some deodorant roll on, mints, small flashlight, wallet, keys, bottle of water etc. My current daily bag is an Osprey Daylite. Fits all my daily things. I switch to the Decathlon if I need to take a jacket, gloves, cook kit, tarp and lines etc. I haven't touched my 5.11 in months, or the Helikon Bergen tbh.
