Packing for British Army basic training 2021!!

If you haven’t already left I’d recommend just going for normal sized shower gels/ shampoo/ toothpaste. You will be using them often so the miniature ones are less practical. Mistakes a lot of people made was getting padlocks with keys because you’re head will be fried at times and you will lose shit so go for combination locks. The dark tan polish turns the boots a weird red/purple colour so your PS might tell you to get ledergloss that’s specifically for the issued altberg boots but they also might not care. The black polish is good for inspection get it on the soles to make them look brand new. You are allowed multitools as long as the blades 3” or under. You won’t need a lot of civvies maybe 3 sets of civvies but you’ll either be in tracksuit or combats for most of training.

Great video. For field exercises i'd say it's defo worth packing some mosquito repellent for overnight activities, and if it's not too late investing in some boot insoles for extra comfort. Looking forward to starting basic in 10 days myself!!!

You get given insect repellant and a set of insoles for your boots. Bring zip bags and travel sized washkit(toothbrush/razor etc.) For exercise

Top tip To save time in Basic Training, practice, practice, practice, ironing skills, get to a high standard, and then time it takes , and reduce time. Go on line to learn, making your bed, and also layout your locker. These skills are vital that you can do 100% before you start training ! If you got about a year before you join , volunteer to become a CFAV in the Army, Sea, Air, Cadets. Good Luck, and keep you sense of humour

Make sure you take 4 combination locks don't forget the numbers as you will be backing them off with your entrenching tool like many before you. @@Belle-lt7cj If you want the cleanest mess tins out of all the recruits buy some small stainless steel scourers and put some washing up liquid in a small plastic bottle with a lid. Keep the washing up liquid in With your wash kit and a scouring pad in your mess tin and place it in your webbing. Your mess tins will look brand new in the field after some scoff and always pass inspection giving you time to concentrate on cleaning your weapon for inspection 💪👍

Hair spray is really good at making your boots look really shiny so would deffo recommend bringing a cheap bottle just to use on your boots, and starch spray really helped with getting the creases out of my bed sheets when you change them (:

do not use clear on your boots, when they get wet, they go cloudy and you will be charged for it. never heard hair spray on boots, who told you that, and i was 18 years armed forces, when the armed forces where professional and not the health and safety joke it is now, but that goes for life now, the country is health and safety crazy, ambulances on the run route, in army training now, is crazy . plus carry water bottles, never heard of such a thing, but it works, dehydration kills, when your training, and you want to quit, kick your arse and push yourself, remember pt will be over in 90 minutes, and you can relax, you will want to quit many times, but push yourself, think of life after stage 2 training, when you get 38 days leave per year, and most weekends off, training is hell, the reward after is awesome, and civy qualifications.

You will use your mess tin to wash take as little as you can just take stuff thats issued to you. Kit you will be taking with you will all ready be heavy less is best. Also you will need plenty of water proof bags boot polish kit. And you won't have time to shave. Water proof notebook and pencil. And notebook and pens always carry that with you.

If ur going into the infantry like I am on the 4th July if u search on KZbin British army basic training there’s a KZbin who’s a platoon commander and his KZbin is “djrxp” and he’s got a playlist called civilian to soldier and shoes u what u do when u arrive all the way to the end of basic training and phase 2 training

I have a question. Being an American I’ve always been curious about this. Being that you are an agent of the British army Im wondering if the British army is still pissed about losing so much territory in the American war of independence from the tyranny of king George the third and the British government. Finally last but certainly not least is the British army still devising a plan to this very day to invade America and get its territory back to regain the title of the most powerful country and most powerful military like in its old glory days?

Scripture Memory can also help if you're not immediately near a nice big desk to do a big bible study, or a church meeting might be a bit difficult to get to. literally 90% of this stuff would have been thrown in the trash at my BCT in Ft Jackson. (U.S. Army) You showed up with the clothes on your back, travel body soap and hair soap, a de-stink stick, hair brush (females), cell phone and charger (wall or portable) (only for your one phone call on the weekend), and a bible or religious book (if you wish). THAT'S IT. everything else the DS can take away and lock up if they choose.
