Very good advice. I have several excel tables for traval (weekend, monthlong, etc.). When I think of something useful, I put it on the table so I don't have to make a list everytime I travel. :-)

Always carry a Qt. Size baggie with you when traveling in the U.S. and overseas. London, Paris is strict! Your trip looks like you had an amazing time with all your cute outfits!

On your next trip, take some laundry sheets and wash your underwear and socks in the sink. Hang them over a coat hanger and hang up in the shower. My daughter is travelling soon and I will be encouraging her to do this.❤

Flying to Europe next month. I decided to under pack on clothes because I can rewear shorts and some tops and I know I’m going to be buying outfits while I’m there as well. I’m only bringing 3 pairs of shoes as well. Loved watching your videos to get ideas on what to pack!

Smart! There’s so much shopping! And you can rewear certain things if needed too

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I just went to Spain (several cities) last month for 2 weeks (As well as my husband and our two teen sons). Each of us took a carry on roller bag with a personal item only, and it was so convenient. I bought a packable backpack for my husband to carry around. That was helpful for water bottles, cardigan, anything we bought etc. We stayed at hotels and one Airbnb. Being able to do laundry at the Airbnb was nice. But there were laundry mats. Next time we go to Europe, if we don’t have access to laundry, I will still pack very light and just find a laundry mat. Packing minimally with room to buy a few pieces of clothing is the way to go! I only needed two pairs of shoes. I took 3. The white tennis shoes and a comfy pair of sandals are great.

This was a very helpful video. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. I would like to add that it is always helpful to pack at least two days in advance, rather than the day before, for such a long involved trip. Like you said, planning your travel wardrobe according to your itinerary will help you plan more wisely, especially when trying to pack carry-on only, and that type of packing and planning takes time. I usually begin planning my travel wardrobe at least two weeks ahead and actually pack a week in advance. Everyone has their own methods. Your outfits were beautiful! Thanks, so much, for sharing!

The only time I have ever had a problem with luggage was in the US! NEVER a problem in Europe!!
@VBoo4596 ай бұрын
In Europe, its a norm to wear Espadrilles everywhere, especially heeled, and we walk A LOT in them. Americans we see are always in hiking shoes its weird so good on you, you dressed more like a European here than many other Americans do. Oh, whenever I travel - I bring a little detergent for washing clothes. Dry cleaning abroad is expensive but sometimes they also do a bad job, I've had my silks ruined so I wash them myself at the hotel. For undies, you could've handwashed them with some soap they provide, highly recommended
@EliaEsparza16 ай бұрын
I think the hiking shoes is odd too! And a small detergent is a great idea!! Also all of the places we stayed offered laundry service too

Thanks for this info. We are going to Italy in September. I watched a video with Rick Steves for traveling to Europe and he said always pack with a carryon so that’s what I’m planning on doing. Thanks for the clothing suggestions!😊

I was in Rome last October and it was hot! I am always cold but ended not using my blazers. I went to London at the end of last August and a light jacket was a must for me.

Omg the London transfer was so annoying for me with the liquids fitting in the bag. I never want to layover there again 😭 I had to toss some skin care because it didn’t fit. I bought a random lotion from the airport - big mistake lol I should’ve waited and went to Sephora cause my eye got swollen and red from the London airport lotion. I was literally in Paris at Sephora and the employee felt so bad for me and my puffy eye 😂 she hooked me up with some Chanel eye cream samples. Lesson: do not use unknown & foreign brands on skin
@EliaEsparza1 Жыл бұрын
Oh man!! I’m sorry that happened!! Yes… gotta be careful with random lotions for sure. I agree London was prob the most stressful and intense airport out of all the ones we went through.

How was it navigating Europe with a suitcase? Was it as difficult as everyone says it is due to the cobblestone streets and excessive stairs everywhere? I know backpacks are the recommended travel item for Europe but I prefer a carry on luggage vs a huge backpack.

I had a vibe wouldnt see my bag first time in 61 years got lost 2 weeks no compensation had to stsy in cdmx to get it back tgen got lost on bus then at uk sirport sone walk3d off tgen brought it back. Never ever ever cgeck in again. Nxt tine will take 1 30l bag that s it as most airlines now dont accept more even an extra personal bag and weight must be like 7 to 8 kg. I ll have to rethink packing but where I go so will my bag. Will have to layer wear for travel days to save weight. Sounds like you went a bit too early..

I’m going to Europe in September for 3 weeks with the Beis 26in check in luggage. I am SO nervous now after reading some comments and seeing your video regarding Europe checked luggage 😰 is it that bad?
@huubjoanfranssen8980 Жыл бұрын
No need to be. Things can always go wrong, so best have a few things in your carry on. But no need to really worry. When your worried about damage to the suitcase itself. They are made for taking a beating. So best to go function over style. If you bought your trip trough one operator then everything should go seamless. But if you checkin your luggage just ask. If everything does go wrong then the claiming process is in the EU wel regulated. Not saying it be easy, but your rights are clear. But honestly if you can go with carry-on. It saves you allot of time and hassle. Just check the carry-on sizes of the airlines you use. When your in the EU, and the lines for security l are very long. Check if you can go trough security for the international flights. These lines are mostly allot shorter and faster….

Any issues with the BEIS carry on in europe? It looks like it’s 2 inches bigger in height than it should be. Wondering if worth the risk for Greece 🥹😩
@EliaEsparza1 Жыл бұрын
Had no issues flying Europe! You will be okay. American carry on luggage’s are slightly bigger than what the Europeans use but they fit fine in the overhead!
@eriicamariie Жыл бұрын
I appreciate this a lot. Thank you 😭 even the “20 inch” ones you see online are 21.5, etc etc so it seems like very few are a true 20.

@@eriicamariie I have beis too and sometimes I have to turn it horizontal for it to fit in the overhead, so make sure you board the plane in an early group so that there’s still space. It’s a bit tall for some of the bins
