Don’t forget a backpack liner to protect your stuff from possible rain. I use a garbage bag. I also suggest spraying your sleep system with permethrin to keep bugs away.

Other Camino walkers talk about bed bugs and a need to spray their bedding and backpack before they go or lining their bag with a large plastic bag!!

Bugs 🪳 I had encountered only once, fortunately … or unfortunately. However, when I walk the Camino I usually take a thin bedsheet which I’ve treated with an insecticide. Also, I carry a large plastic rubbish bag into which I can put my backpack so nothing can crawl inside. By the way: I encountered the bugs in a Hostal, not an Albergue, where I would have expected it rather. Whatever: Buen Camino. Don’t worry too much, just enjoy.
