I learned to pack wheel bearings when I was a pup working in a machine shop. We didn't wear nitrile gloves back then. When I came home from work, I would take a bath and shower to wash off all the grim. I agree, it's a good task to learn for equipment owners to learn. Proactive maintenance is a good practice to keep equipment ready to go when they are needed and prevents breakdowns on the highway. I enjoyed the video. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers

Trailer bearings need routine maintenance AKA constantly adding grease. Learned the hard way back in 2006 when I blew up a bearing hauling my boat back from Lake Michigan. I had neglected to grease them for like 5 years…

In my younger days I worked in the automotive industry and would pack wheel bearing the same way until "COOL TOOL" manual wheel bearing packers. Just a push with your palm and the old grease was pushed out and new grease came in. They saved a lot of time and mess. Good luck with your trailer. TCT
