Packing Wheel Bearings on 1929 Model A Ford

How to pack the wheel bearings on a 1929 Ford Model A: Remove the cotter pin and castle nut, and the hub should come right off. Remove the washer, front wheel bearing, hub, and the rear wheel bearing. Pack grease into bearings by forcing them into a palm full of grease. You should see grease emerge from the top of the bearing. Rotate and continue until the entire bearing is packed. Reassemble by sliding on the rear bearing, hub, front bearing, washer, nut, and finally the cotter pin. Tighten, and then back off 1 - 2 notches until the cotter pin goes in. Mount the wheel. Make sure it spins free without drag.

Thanks for the video, and I realise that filming what you're doing can be distracting with all of us armchair experts watching.... but you put your greasy thumb inside the brake drum as you put it on the ground at 1:47. Easy done if you're not paranoid of brake contamination like me. About to do the same bearing job on my Model A. Cheers.

When dismantling put all components on a clean piece of cardboard so you don't pick up any grit or dirt off the ground.
