My daughter and her boyfriend bought me two retail packs of Hoops for Christmas. I was expecting nothing and got exactly that in the first pack. On the second pack, I was shocked when I saw the Wemby card, knowing that there would be another one right behind it! Love how the Wembys follow a pattern and make it so nice you get it twice!

I feel like Hoops will be a great thing to rip in 2-3 months. Once everyone is on to the higher end products, Hoops will be cheap enough to be a fun rip with some upside.

i'm a very low level collector right now, but I've had the worst luck last year with retail anything. The second I gave it up and started saving more towards hobby and fast break, my luck went way up. I have my 3rd box of Hoops hobby on the way as we speak, hoping for some Wemby inserts or parallels 😭

As a mainly retail buyer, I like these comparisons. Great vid! I can say from experience that its better to go for hobby over retail if you are going to spend serious money. I know exactly how it hurts to buy 8 donruss optic football blasters and not hit anything at all...

Hobby boxes do have an upside but it also comes at an extreme cost. Like $800 for prizm football hobby box! So I personally pull a lot of retail. Going in-store and competing/chasing for the product also has a fun side in my opinion. Best card I pulled was a flux shadeon sharpe rookie auto to 10 from a target mega box.

Purple is an SSP, I did the Zion hoops holiday set and pulled a purple rookie, I guess they are hard to pull and hold a more value than the straight rookie card. The sweaters IMHO are pretty cool and as always some are just a solid color which is a bummer.

ive ripped 5 hobbies, around 30 blasters, and 16 fat packs, if youre chasing wemby, buy retail, you wont get the cool inserts that hobby has but often times if you pull a wemby base they put a hoops tribute wemby right behind it, blasters also have 3-4 rookies every pack compared to hobbys 2-3, if youre looking for autographs and all around dope cards, hobby is the way to go, i pulled a numbered joakim noah auto, a few rookie autos, a 1/25 (jersey match) amen thompson city edition, a bunch of other cool stuff, ive got 2 more hobbys to rip and 5 asia boxes, first time ive seriously gotten into ripping packs and tbh i love this year's hoops
