My proposed changes to Contenders retail: Make parallels full color/foil pattern cards instead of just the foil font. Second, add a Contenders Optic Preview card with chances at parallels (like Donruss). Boom. Fixed.

I’m honestly not the biggest fan of the designs of the cards but I will say I’ve gotten more hits out of these than anything else. A lot of patch and autos, I’ve gotten atleast 1 wemby and patch/auto in each box I bought!

I just pulled my first yesterday in one blaster pack i got Marcus Sasser numbered rookie stallions cracked ice /25. Cam whitmore jersey card coulibaly base rookie stallion. Jarace Walker draft class. Wemby and Miller base. Kyrie historic draft class. Notable mentions also red kuzma. A night ticket Anthony Edwards and two rookie base of Smith Jr and Jett Howard. I was pretty pleased !

I’ve opened 4 basketball blasters and 2 blasters and I’m am very pleased. Got CJ Stroud base and draft class and an auto forget the player. Basketball had a bunch of great cards including 1 wemby, Rookie Ticket Dru Smith Auto, several game ticket parallels and a Grady dick & Jordan Hawkins rookie ticket double patch. Honestly my reaction to my pulls was similar to yours!! I have a football mega I got at target for $50 which I was lucky to get. Was going to use it for my break but what I’ve pulled on blaster I want to open it now.

It needs to be said that Contenders had been a terrible retail product for years. They advertise the rookies all over the box but there were no unsigned base rookies, so there was basically no chance of getting any. So you would just get the one draft class rookie insert and the jersey card, the entire stack of base and parallels would be vets.
